It's a swear word. It means wh*re. Whoever said that sure isn't your friend (or they're some immature little twit who looked up all the swear words in the dictionary.)

Sorry to say this, it´s a Spanish swear word for whore or b***h. Don´t take it so hard, it´s better to forget the whole thing. Perhaps it wasn´t so seriously meant.
