It was written by Jews.
That is why Christians call it the OLD testament. The so-called "NEW" testament was all written at the time of and after Jesus.
Jewish people don't believe that Jesus was the messiah, so they rely on the "old" testament (AKA Torah).
But Christians use the "old" as well....especially Leviticus...that is what they draw upon to hate others (such as the homosexuals) Nothing like using God to justify hate, I am sure He really appreciates that.

Jewish..... but became part of the Christian Bible as it was revealed within the New Testament. The New Testament shows us the fulfillment of Old Testament prophecy.

The Old testament is being used also by the true christian people aside from the New Testament because it is a part of the Bible.and their are many verses in the old testament which are also in the New Testament. It is also the continuation of the New Testament.

It is Jewish. Christians adopted it and added to it writings of and about Jesus as the New Testament so it is also Christian. They (Jews) use part 1 , you (Christians) use parts 1 and 2.

It exists for the spiritual development of Christians. For without it, one can not understand the New Testament without the Old Testament ! The Bible in its entirety, is spiritual in nature - it is God's inspired ["breathed"] word talking to Christians, who are involved within a spiritual relationship with Him.

The Torah is part of the Jewish scriptures, collectively called the Tanakh. Only Christians call it the "old" testament. To us, it's our law, and there's nothing "old" about it.

Christianity didn't exist in the OT times. It was the Jewish faith.
