In a medical setting, it's all day, every day. In a school setting, not too often, but definitely need the background. In graduate school, all the time.
This is definitely NOT a profession for people who are weak in life sciences, nor is audiology.

I don't live in LA so can't comment on the pay or security of these allied health professions in your location. However, I have had lots to do with all three of these professions as a parent of a disabled child and it sounds like you may have found a good option now that you have identified your weaknesses with blood etc. These professions work in a variety of situations so it could be rehabilitation, acute hospital or even in the community. I would suggest that you look a little further at occupational therapy as it has so much potential and scope. It would also allow you to work with all ages, in different circumstances and in completely different roles so if you don't like one area, you can always try something different. Either would be a good career option.
