If not, why not? And why should we not follow that example? Is god without morals?

Biblical? God created mankind known to be fallible. Didn't god wipe out mankind and a multitude of animals in the "great flood" as retribution?
Realistically? Goose bumps for humans, particularly women's skin? Mayfly mouths? The human appendix? The male urethra? The structure of the eye?

The Lord doesn't make mistakes. He doesn't know how to do evil. The wicked are punished, YES, but that is not a mistake. If you are never punished, then you can't learn right from wrong. As a child, did you not receive correction for doing something wrong? When people commit crimes, are they not punished? If God didn't love us, He wouldn't correct us.
His judgements fall on the just and the unjust because we all live together. Those who live for Him shouldn't worry because we know where we are going is much better than here on this earth.
Try reading and studying the Word of God. It can answer your questions much better than men can. If you don't believe that, look at all the different responses you get from people.
The Lord never asked for our opinions. He gave us the law to follow. If we don't follow His laws then we will be punished. I pray that you will read, study and pray and come to full knowledge before it is too late.

Their ‘god’ is a sadist but none will oppose him cos they’re all too scared about going to hell - only a masochist would follow a sadist.
I think their main problem is that they can’t see that ‘god’ is made in their image.

hello!!! people, the bible is not factual evidence to support or deny a claim it is a story written by human hands and therefore subject to perspective and imagination and human error. do not ask someone to site scripture to prove something.
and if he does not know how to do evil how come he created it (lucifer is his creation)

Well, in a response to the question all I have to say is, you could walk up to a perfect stranger and say, "you're wrong" without explaining about what, and be just as explicit as you are here.
Then upon noting the comments, my immdiate response is, I don't really know how I could have done a better job. You can?

God can do anything. Anything includes mistakes.
If He couldn't He couldn't do everything.
He created us in His image and He gave us the ability to make mistakes.

God's like the proverbial abusive husband...'He' never does anything wrong, we 'make him do it'. He only hits us because he loves us so much.

Sips, here is a Bible verse to put your mind at ease.
"What? I flooded the entire Earth?"
"My bad."
"Is god without morals?"
Did I mention he flooded the Earth?
Hee hee, Jeremiah called you missy.

God does not make mistakes. God created us perfect and gave us free will. Free will makes things interesting, not God's fault that we make wrong choices.

I am intrigued. I want to hear about examples of God making a mistake (cited in the Bible).
Where in the Bible did God say, "I made a mistake"?
Please tell us!
