The editors of the NEW JERUSALEM BIBLE explain this as : "The Hebrew can be translated literally 'I am what I am' , which would mean that GOD did not wish to reveal his name to them" (p. 85)

"The truth is , nobody knows for sure how the name of God was pronounced" (Pg. 7 - Watchtower Bible and Tract Society)

Show me the exact Scripture in question from the Holy Bible. Otherwise this is a complete waste of both your time and mine. Turns out that the Greek word for God is "Eli" - NOT ALLAH And the Hebrew is Elo, Elio or Elohim, all of which phonetically sound similar. But Jesus NEVER referred to God as "Allah." If that were the case, then why don't Muslims recognize Jesus as the Son of God?

No

Since the Middle East was ruled by the Greeks (and then the Romans) and Ancient Greek was the OFFICIAL language.

Are you aware that Arabs and Persians the those from Inda still do English TEA TIME

Old habits die hard. England only ruled for 150 years

Greece ruled for over 200.

ALL the Judeo-Christian Bibles were translated into Hebrew, Greek or Latin

As far as I know there are no acient Aramatic Bibles and Ancient Aramatic is not the same as todays version!

The Christian God is not same as the Islamic God, and I looked up several references from a Muslim site that refers to Allah in the Bible. Nowhere that I could find. Jesus said "The one true God", that does not mean he was saying Allah. Does Islam believe in Jesus as Lord and Savior? No then they can not be the same, because Jesus is 1/3 of the Trinity. Jesus is God.

I'm pretty sure God is the one who separated man into different languages at the tower of Babel so since I don't speak Aramaic and He's the reason why then I figure He probably doesn't have a problem with it.

Allah is not appropriate for Christians because Muslims do not believe in the Holy Trinity; Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. They follow that Jesus was only a man and God (Allah) has no son.

This is an entirely different religion and different god than the Jews and Christians see.

It's not his personal name.
It's a title.

God is a thing.
YHVH is the name.
Jehovah is the name.
Yahweh is the name.

There are many many Gods. It's a noun. Not a proper noun.

Interestingly enough... I believe the same is true with Allah. It's their WORD for God, not the NAME of God.

Your wits have flown the coop. If Christian's would use the name Allah, then they would not be Christian's but Muslim's. Don't go on websites that confuses your mind. Take a rest on it.

Don't shout at us about Allah! I am NOT going to call my God Jehovah, any other name but JEHOVAH.
That's all there is to it.

So when is everyone going to use the REAL name of the Lord in heaven. AMEN ? All you religious peoples can call your God whatever name you want to call him, but that doesn't make him the LORD in heaven who from the beginning GAVE us his name and it is the one I gave you.

LANGUAGE does not make a difference to the Lord if the HEART is not in the right place in compassion. Of all the religious ones upon this world none BOTHER to SEE that the nature of your GOD is totally illogical nomatter if you call yourself muslim, christian or jew. The BEHAVIORS of these religious AND their God is looked upon by the holy in heaven as "lacking" in the fundamental knowledge of purity. "I" can see it and I am not even one of heaven so I know THEY see it themselves..............
