It isn't safe to have a conversation with the devil. You might think that you're spiritual and strong enough to withstand him, but why take the chance? Satan has had an awful lot of time to become skilled in deceiving the righteous. Do you think that you're more powerful than the devil? Power has little to do with it. Satan's power comes from his words, and many good people have fallen by them.

What do you mean have a conversation with the devil? Are you trying to repel him away from you or become his best friend?
I do believe the Devil exists and I do think that we are more powerful than the Devil.

It's all good as long as your conversations consist of The Word of God being used to rebuke him, just as Jesus did. We get ourselves into trouble when we have conversations with him where we entertain any thoughts that are in opposition to the Word of God. Remember, "greater is He that is in you, than he that is in the world."
More of us than care to admit it have had conversations with "the devil" on a regular basis...we just don't necessarily recognize the voice as being his. How often do you hear yourself saying negative things, especially when you're angry or in offense? Satan's weapon is the power of suggestion and with that he has wreaked havoc on many lives throughout the ages.

If you think you are having conversations with the Devil, you need to check yourself into a padded cell. Conversely, if someone tells you they are the devil you better move because they are probably deranged and dangerous.

I don't have a good concept about the topic of faith, but I do think that in a society where people are are able to reject god/religion, it wouldn't be impossible for people to reject the devil.
