You should know one thing - as a general rule usage of Plastic may cause Cancer. Actually the DIOXINS coming out of heating plastics is the reason. So while freezing Dioxins does not come out.

The Doctors at Johns Hopkins sat down with Dr. Rolf Haden, assistant professor at Department of Environmental Health Sciences and the Center for Water and Health at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health and discussed this matter as there was a hoax email circulated and they have dispelled the myth saying "This is an urban legend. There are no dioxins in plastics. In addition, freezing actually works against the release of chemicals."

You should know one more thing that heating plastic in micro ovens is very dangerous otherwise also. The bottom line is that there is no cancer risk in taking water or any other food from frozen plastic bottles.-

No.

And plastics recommended for microwave use don't cause cancer, either.

Burning plastic is bad, though. Don't breathe the fumes.
