Why would you want to rephrase it? A sales rep is a sales rep is a sales rep...no matter what you call it. A resume should show the positions you held and should be verifiable when the prospective employer contacts the previous employer. If you start creating new names for the position it'll just confuse the verification.

Most business professionals are astute enough to know what a Sales Representative is and what role he/she plays in a sales driven organization.
Why would you want to call it something else? I enjoy reading resumes that are straightforward, concise, and call the job the job. Like trying to say the Janitor is the Environmental Refuse Engineer. You're still the janitor and everyone knows it. The only person who thinks it gussies up your resume is you.

Why rephrase it? What's wrong with Sales Representative? I'm a Pharmaceutical Sales Representative by job title, and I'm proud of it! If one is ashamed of or not proud of their job title, why even bother doing the job?

Additional- I have to disagree with Tom. It may be that he's so busy he cant take the time to enjoy reading a resume. I personally like to see things on a resume that scream out "creativity". What is marketing without that?. If you were reading a magazine saw page after page of ads with pictures of cars with the words, " We'd like you to buy this." printed across them how effective would that be? Creativity and imagination are vital. I enjoy seeing examples of those qualities in resumes. It's not about fooling anyone.

Accomplished Customer Service Representative resulting in increased sales for the company. My direct experience with my last position was recognized by raising my retention/sales rate to 69%, which was higher than the expectations of my position of 49%. I applied the company guidelines in the mission statements to our customers. I used my skills of personal attention to our clients that were in need of empathy and understanding.
