I find that most "free thinkers" tend to be closed-minded, selfish, and unrealistic.

Or hes a controlling abuser. See abusers feed off control they do it to survive. He may not be giving an opinion he may just be abusing you. He will never change get away..

i have the same issue but i don't let it stop me from thinking what i want to. it's your views and your opinions, not his. if he has a problem with it then he needs to accept that you are your own person.

Same in my house. My dad doesn't appreciate my opinions or thoughts.
