How do I hide my firearm? Most of my firearms are hidden away in a gun safe. I have three nightstand guns which are by my bed inside a nightstand drawer. If I have friends with children over ALL my guns go into the safe or a locking walking in closet (I just replaced the door knob on the closet with one that locks and can be unlocked with a key; in other words, a front-entry door knob).
When I carry concealed I usually use an inside-the-pants holster or sometimes a 'wallet-holster,' which may or not be available/legal in your State. When I travel I usually keep my travel gun in the center console of my truck. Sometimes I store an 'extra' gun in a case behind or under the seat.
Best.

I own a NEF Pardner 20 gauge single shot with modified choke, always trigger locked. I generally have a box or two of Winchester AA No. 8 on hand, but the gun is never loaded unless it is about to be fired. Safety first. I live in a good enough neighborhood, lack the paranoia that would make me feel the urge to have a firearm for "protection" I just like bustin' clay.

Once upon a time, the late Finn Aagard was asked that very question by a reader. Mr. Aagard grew up in Kenya during the Mau Mau Revolt, so those experiences colored his thoughts on the idea.
Mr. Aagard told his questioner:
"The best place to store a handgun in on your person, in a pocket, or in a holster. If the handgun is on your person, it is always in reach when an emergency arises."
I believe Mr. Aagard was 100% correct. If you need a firearm, you need it right bloody then! You don't have time to go fiddling with lockboxes, gun cabinets, or hideouts. I have made a habit of having a handgun on my belt or in a pocket for decades. There are other guns stashed about the house, but there is always one on my person at all times.
And another thing, I always have a gun in hand when I answer the door, especially after dark. It is rare that the person at the door knows I have a gun in hand. If I know them, it is surreptitiously pocketed as I let them enter. If I don't know them, the gun remains in hand until they are gone.

My snubby concealed carry gun is either in my right front pants pocket or in an "inside the waistband" holster. My "car gun" is in a special holster attached to the underside of my dash, to the right of the steering wheel column. The "house gun" is in my night stand drawer, my wife keeps hers in her night stand drawer, the shotgun is in the closet, and the backup is in the drawer of the computer desk.
The rest are in my gun safe.
Buttercup, my foul tempered Rottweiler, picks up on anything I might miss. . .

Mine is one me at all times even while I sleep. The rest of them stay locked in the safe and loaded. If your needing to hide a gun in plain sight and not have to worry about kids gettin to it. I would tell you to get a clock safe
