Did that save his chase chances?

Harvick is a knowledgeable driver and if and when he feels a vibration or a pulling with the car he will communicate with the spotter and crew cheif and then make the right call.
So with the tire problem this was a good call by the team and with Harvicks feel noticing the problem.
As for the chase this did not hurt his chances in it.

That was an extremely good call by Harvick. When he pulled in the pits for that reason as the announcer said he was via radio conversation, I was wondering if Harvick was talented enough to really feel what was wrong with his car. He took the "two" tire change and showed to me that he really knows whats going on out there on the track. I actually have new respect for Harvick for being so aware and able to make that decision before it's too late.

I seemed like a good call but, he is really going to get it together quick if he is going to have any chance at the championship... Happy Harvick needs to get Happy, right now I do not think he is too happy.

Not really a Harvick fan, but he did make a good call that time. I don't think he will do well in the chase in any case.

It was a great call, sure saved his car from being damaged
and then not be able to keep up. On the other hand, they only
changed 2 tires instead of all 4. If he picked the wrong 2
tires to change, then it would have to come back in again,
then it would have been a bad call on just changing 2 tires.

Yes to good call and yes to saving his Chase chances. Remember there are still eight races, and a lot can happen. Nobody is out of the Chase, yet.

It looked like a great call but he is going to have to step it up if he wants a chance to win the championship. It looks like its going to be close all the way to the end!!!!!!
