I always wore sweats. If your a good babysitter, you're playing with them or feeding them and you're bound to get dirty.

Hmm, it probaly doesn't matter much :) Just keep it casual, babysitting is not a very big deal. Maybe a nice pair of jeans and just a fresh plaid button up, or even just a clean white v-neck with a nice statement necklace and some comfortable shoes seeing as you'll be with children. Basically don't wear anything trashy or promoting things kids don't need to be into, and you'll be fine :) xx

Of course! Babysitting is a no primping needed type of job. If you feel too "casual" in sweatpants, style it up a little with some simple activewear pants, such as Nike or Adidas's line of active wear. They are super comfy and are very wash-and-wear type of clothing...and you can pair them with just a plain tee or tank, or make it a pulled together athletic look with the matching jacket :)

Sweatpants are the norm! Dress down for babysitting for sure.

It is always a good idea to make a good first impression and the major portion of impressions are based on looks. if this is your first time baby sitting for the family, i would say it would be a better idea to not wear sweat pants. you dont want to give the sub-counsiouse impression that you are lazy or irresponsible, or are not willing to interact a lot with the kids. Now, if you have baby sst for them quite a few times and they know you and like you, it is probably alright. I would say an exception would be if you are baby sitting overnight and the kids will be in bed for most of the time, it would be alright to dress more relaxed, but otherwise, at least until you get to know the parents and they know you, no sweat pants. Good Luck.

I feel bad sometimes with my outfits, lol. I usually stick to the "comfy pants and tshirt" uniform but I'm afraid I look to frumpy. But hey, I'm on the floor most of the day getting formula and food spit at me, I think I should be ok! Just wear whatever you're most comfortable in!

wear whatever you feel comfortable in. you want to be down playing with the kids so it has to be appropriate for play.t-shirt and sweatpants would be good clothes to go in.
i do inhome daycare everyday and i just stick to pjs(a pair of comfy pj pants and a t-shirt).i am much more comfortable getting down to play with them, then if i were in jeans. plus since they are just pjs it doesn't matter when they get stained or something.

yes i think you should wear sweats. but bring like a sweatshirt and your cellphone if you are babysitting at night. bring flipflops and tennis b/c you might have to run outside with them, or you might just wanna watch a movie with them inside. Hope this was helpful!

What not to wear: a low cut v-neck shirt
I have seen our babysitter come in this and we were not too happy.
