if someone held a gun up to your head, and asked you if you believed in god, would you, honestly say yes? would you sacrifice your life for God?

man I have heard plenty people saying or asking that question. and my answer is yes. I would and I will sacrifice my life to God by serving him and trying to teach his words...

I hope I never find out!
I find the real tests of faith (and I do fail often) are finding my brother and sister human beings in need. What does God call on me to sacrifice then? My feelings? My comfort? Will others make fun of me? Will someone try and hurt me if I try to come to their rescue? Your question is kinda like an open book test in a classroom. But would the sacrifice be as meaningful?

Yes. We already see this happening in many countries.
I believe I would sacrifice my life by denying God and gain life by dying for God. It a hard concept to understand.
I am back; had to find a date in my Bible. On 12-18-2003 something wonderful happened in my life. On that same day I wrote in my Bible "I will die for You, Lord Jesus"! Then I signed it.

I wouldn't deny Christ in that circumstance. I think a more difficult question would be, would you be loyal if you were tortured or someone you love were tortured, as they are in countries outside the US. America is relatively persecution free. A bullet to the head is one thing. Longsuffering is another matter altogether. I hope if I'm ever tested in that was I pass and gain the prize.

Even with a gun pointed to my head I would never denounce my God. If that means losing my life then so be it.
