There are Thomas suitcases, ride on trains, pajamas, t shirts, shorts, shoes, sippy cups, toddler plates. there are videos that include limited edition trains. (There was the gold Thomas that came with a 50 or 60 anniversary dvd). Any other trains, a train table, tracks. Pretty much anything you can think of comes in Thomas some way.

I went on ebay and found sooo many cool thomas the train things, and since its ebay its cheap! I recently found his halloween costume for 7 bucks, it came with the overalls a rag that goes in the pocket a wistle the conductor hat and tickets for the train, its awesome an he loves it and it will be a great change from the last 3 years of being a pirate. They also had a thomas tent type of thing that was like 14 bucks. They had glow in the dark tshirt of thomas for like 5 bucks and of course many many trains ranging from .01 to 10 dollars. He loves eating out of his thomas dish set, and carries his blanket everywhere. If he is anything like my son when it comes to thomas the smallest and simplest thomas toys work and make him smile. I also have the thomas circus track which plays music and has a bunch of cool acssesories, but that was around 40 dollars took me an hour to set up and 5 minutes to fall apart, plus he was only occupied by it for about 2 days. So a suggestion is to focus on the cheap stuff he seems to like that more. Hope my rambling helped lol.

They make Thomas chairs (the plush kind). I think at Walmart they had a Thomas desk and chair, as well as a toybox.

Chapters/Indigo sells a Thomas table for setting up the wood Thomas trains.

The electric HO scale Thomas trains are great fun for older kids. They are actually among the best built on the market. A local hobby store keeps a train constantly running in the window and most engines die after about a month of continuous use (because they aren't really designed for it) last I heard Thomas was on month 8.

With children ages 18, 16 and 11, I have gone through Barney, Lambchop, Blues Clues, Dora etc. Their movies were Little Mermaid and every single one after that. My younger brother loved Thomas the Tank Engine, Pee Wee Herman, Ernest, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Thundercats etc. I'm currently in hate with Sponge Bob and all Disney channel shows. I am a very good story teller, and so I do understand the frustration when you have to read the same thing over and over again with the same enthusiasm so you don't disappoint them....sigh. They particularly liked a book called Honey Bunny, Funny Bunny. Does anyone remember "The Song That Doesn't End" by Lambchop and the gang? My older kids start singing that to me when they want a good laugh because I start twitching and run away. Have fun, you've only just begun!

You mentioned that you don't have a lot of money to spend - have you thought of a really creative solution?

Go online and you can download colouring in pages from the official Thomas site. Then buy Thomas crayons, pencils and stickers and create a Thomas the Tank Engine Craft box. I created something like this for my boys and have a big decorated box from one of the cheap shops which holds all of their craft items. The best part about this kind of gift is that you can top it up with little treasures you find and keep it a source of interest and fun for little ones.

Here is a link to the official Thomas Website and links to Thomas Craft items...

my suggestion- as the nanny to a child whose parents have gotten him literally thousands of dollars of Thomas paraphernalia, as well as a grandma to a child whose Thomas purchases were severely limited.... is to nip the "obsession" in the bud! It's all well and good to really, really like something, and for parents to indulge in that like to a point, BUT there are other toys out there that will encourage diverse play. Do you really want your son to want and play with nothing but Thomas? A t-shirt or 2, maybe some undies and a pair of PJ's, some tracks and a few trains, maybe even a lunch box, but really, it can get to be way too much! Encoourage him to check out other age appropriate toys like Lincoln Logs, Legos, Blocks, puzzles, and playacting toys like a pirate ship, barnyard, doctor's kit, etc.

Do a search for "Thomas the Tank Engine" on www.ebay.com and www.amazon.com and you'll see all kinds of stuff. One of my favorites is the Thomas the Tank Engine play tent.
