I have a seriously traumatic fear of flying, the only thing that works is strong xanex, but it leaves me feelig even worse. I have tried meditation, teas, yoga, relaxation techniques and fear of flying courses, nothing works. I fly overseas in two weekw and the anxiety is already out of control? Any tried and true tricks?

hypnotherapy might be a great help for you. Try and find one that's recommend by others. take care good luck

it is likely your anxiety is connected to other anxieties, like dying, leaving behind a family, etc, so get to the center of it and soothe it with love and trust especially faith in God.

Also, stay in the moment.

if it better serves you to read some books on planes, do so, as this provides some necessary information that may soothe some of the worries you harbor towards flying.

I had that fear and, strangely, so did my wife. It was not until I invited Jesus into my life that I saw the change. Since I was weak and He was strong, I knew I could not make it without His help. When I began to trust in the Lord and not myself it all went away. I have flown hundreds of times since then and I usually fall asleep before takeoff. Try: Liveprayer.com
