No. I believe that you should have ALL the facts before you stand up for ANYTHING. The invasion of Iraq is a perfect example. I'm not just talking about the lack of W.M.D.'s. I'm talking about the 'Mission Accomplished' sign and the poor preperation that America had before the war. It seems that my countrymen were MORE than willing to stand up for something...and yet they fell for the biggest lie perpetrated on the American people in decades.

I believe in this nation and will stand up for it and our laws.
Doesn't mean I'm buying everything the government says.
Perhaps because I'm Missouri-born and you have to "Show Me".
Still, I felt like a fool when I donated money to a fund-raiser for a sick child and later learned the child in question was perfectly healthy. Now, I'm a bit wary and check out the situation before I write that check.
We just have to be cautious about what is truly happening, and realize that there are times we will be misled.

Standing on priciples has been a main part of our country since its creation. That doesn't mean that we HAVE to stand for something, but little things, like, oh, I don't know.... laws.... are kind of important to some of us.

No -- many people have no personal beliefs about particular topics, but that doesn't mean they automatically adopt the first belief they come across.

Many people don't care enough to develop any belief about certain topics. For example -- I don't care about sports teams -- I don't care who is good and who is bad -- and it doesn't matter how many people give me their opinions -- I have no interest in the subject.

The same principle applies in other areas.

People who say that are just presumptuous in assuming that just because someone doesn't stand for or "believe" the same things that they do...They stand for nothing....

It's really quite an insult..
