It's never too late. Dogs are always willing to learn at any age. Of course it's better when they're babies but it doesn't matter. :-)

Of course not. Any time is a good time to take your dog to obedience school. Make sure, though, that you find one with an approach that will work for your dog. A personal trainer may help one person lose a hundred pounds, but their approach won't work for everybody. The same is true for dogs and obediance training methoods.

absolutely not. Any age dog can be trained.
I teach obedience classes, and our students range from 6 months old to multiple years.
The older dog does not have the puppy playfulness to overcome, however, they can be a little set in their ways. The method of training is basically the same, however, depending on the dog, the dog may not be as quick to obey as some of your classmates.
Dogs all learn at their own pace, and 2 years old is not that old to learn.

My 6 month old mastiff is by far the youngest dog at her obedience school....most of the other dogs are between 18 months and 3 years.

It is never too late for training. Our dog's trainer actually told us that the older dogs have a better attention span for learning. Our 1 1/2 year old dog is benefiting greatly from training for the first time. If you have some specific issues that you want to address, try BarkBusters...they come to your home and train your dog Cesar Milan style. It is a one time fee that is good for the life of your dog. It's been a great investment! Good luck!

No its never to late to teach an old dog new tricks and he isn't old probably a good age because he is coming out of the puppy stage an going into be an adult dog so he will listen better and want to please you more.

It is never too late to take your dog to classes.
Depending on the breed and socialization level, it can be difficult though.
I am a firm believer that no dog is ever 'completely trained'. Dogs should be lifelong learners.

Not at all! Most places have a 'basic' or 'beginning' obedience class for adult dogs.
