That's presumtuous isn't it? You're either assuming that all atheists are straight males or gay females.

And no, people aren't rejected because they're atheists except by the excessively religious types.

Most of the atheists I've met (at least the ones who are actively seeking women) don't seem to have any problems in that area. One local atheist I know is rather lucky with women, and always seems to have more than he can handle.

Are you insinuating that females are not atheists or are you afraid of proclaiming that you are one because you'll be less popular with the ladies? If that's the case, don't sell out - stay true to yourself.

To answer your question, more likely then not, atheists move in different circles than those practicing religion.

I don't think so, unless they are strongly opposed to your belief. If you mean upon introduction, not likely until they got to know you a bit. If your pick-up line is, "Hi, I am Atheist, want to go get coffee." Yeah, you might get rejected more often that most.

Probably, the majority of the women in the US are Christian and the majority of the women in the world believe in a faith of some sort, so if a person that has a tough time or is unwilling to committing them selves to some thing as universally accepted as a supreme being (Christian, Muslim, Hindu, Jewish, Mormon etc) how can they commit themselves to one single person.

My husband of 16 yrs didn't have any problems. He was constantly being chased by women. I witnessed it with my own eyes when he and I started dating. And obviously I didn't reject him :)

So... is this so much a "man's world" still that we have forgotten that many atheists ARE women?

No problem here. And married Christian people loves Atheists as well. Possebly because we are more interesting sex-partners.
