As an atheist, I believe that here on Earth is INCREDIBLY precious, as there is NO immortality, and NO afterlife. You have to make the best of the time that you have.
So, my point is that theists are gambling also. I think we would both agree that worshipping a non-existent God would be a waste of a lifetime, *especially* given that there is no afterlife. So all the time you spent in church, in prayer, etc. is wasted. What a huge gamble it is, to believe in God!
Besides, if God was real, and he loves everyone, as you claim, then he would love atheists as well. Why would he punish them for leading good, responsible lives? (if that's what they did, and most atheists I know do)

More then a 100% chance that we are dead wrong means we are right. You however, is 100% wrong.
Now, you risk the consequence of rejecting Odin and the next 50,000 gods. You do not believe in Odin does not make your god real either.
You realised by not believing in odin does not make it go away, don't you?
I mean do you guys go to the toilet all the time? Why are you such a piece of sh!t? Does your sanity mean NOTHING to you?
Is your own stupidity and delusion so important you are willing to lose everything defending it?!?
Can't you see how deluded, stubborn and illogical you are acting?!?
-------
Are you so pea brain NOT to know what is a pascal wager? Search for it. Use Google or Yahoo search or whatever. Try to gain some knowledge before calling names will you? You only show your ignorance.
By the way, PASCAL is not name calling, it is the name for a world famous mathematician. His name is Blaise Pascal.
Now, can you answer my question modified from your question? Or had you not seen the stupidity of the question?
My Christians friends can make up very much more intelligent questions than what you can come up with.
-------
So, the fact YOU THINK there is only one god makes it true?
Very stupid though. Your belief in the imaginary creature and using that as an argument without any evidence except you think so does not make it any more real then the other "because I think so gods"
The point is we do not believe in the existence of imaginary supreme being / beings. If you have evidence, present it. If you do not have any evidences, what differentiate you and the next 50,000 imaginary creature, except you deluded yours to be the real one and others to be fakes?
Typical Christian circular logic.
"Believe in the book because god say so as it was written in the book"

Hey dumb nuts...why do YOU gamble with your life when you try and convert people by saying that they're wrong and you're right, last time I checked, that doesn't work anymore. Pascal's Wager is an incredibly redundant converting technique and please, originality will be much appreciated, us Atheists need PROOF before we believe anything...and I think that it's better to ask forgiveness than for permission (meaning that if you are right, then I can always say "Hey, I lived a good life, sorry for not believing in you I guess...and if I go to Hell for it, then I know a very archaic and one finger gesture for you" and if I'm right, I don't have to ask permission to see if I'm right or wrong...) So please, stop with this...Maybe I am wrong, but if your god is so loving, he will understand our hearts, and why we don't believe, and if he's so intelligent, he could understand on why we are as we are. And what I can't seem to figure our is why are you being a d1ck and trying to use such words as "stupid, stubborn, and illogical" as weapons to convert us, all I know is, your type of people are the reasons why most people, hate Christians...so congrats on making the world hate you and your fellows....now it's time for me to say you're stupid, stubborn, and illogical by the way YOU are acting, believe in God if you want, but maybe use a different method on how to convert...numb nuts...

Do you even REALIZE how old and tired this argument is? You clearly don't understand how completely flawed it is. There is nothing RIGHT about this argument.
"Believe me there is more than a 100% chance that you are DEAD WRONG."
---Oh yeah? Believe you why? Prove it.
"You do understand that not believing in something doesn't make it go away don't you?"
---You do realize that not BELIEVING in something means you don't BELIEVE in it. *Not* that you want it to go away.
"Can't you see how stupid, stubborn and illogical you are acting"
---You just asked us why I think that not believing in something would "make it go away", and then you call us stupid? You believe in the existence of a magical, invisible, supernatural being for which there is NO evidence, and then you call US "stupid and illogical?"
The only thing "stupid" about me right now is that I'm wasting too much time on this nonsense.

Pascal's Wager -- You know that this gets asked so often it is part of our drinking game
- It assumes there is no downside. There is. You spend your life (the only one you do have) following a lie. That is a HUGE downside.
- How would you know which God to pick? The evidence is the same for Anubis, so what happens to you when you are wrong and you can't pass the questions from the Book of the Dead or your heart weighs heaver than a feather. There are thousands of others with the same evidence. Just picking one randomly doesn't do much for your odds.
- How could you hope to fool a god by saying you believe when you don't?

First of all, I am agnostic and I don't know the and neither do you. However, if your god wanted me to believe in him so bad, he should have done better than a 3000 year old book and a 2000 year old dead guy - or given me a lower IQ. Also, there is no such thing as more than 100%. That is completely illogical.

Hey - I wanted to answer because I come from a very atheist family - my parents are also ultra-liberal, and I think they're pretty cool with everything except gambling. Oh, and lying - but that's not related; it's just those are the two things they taught us we're NEVER allowed to do.
My parents believe in rationalism, and calculated, informed decisions. Based on what they've learned (and what they've taught us), God isn't explained rationally in any way; they see evidence for alternate explanations and evidence contradicting the Bible. I don't think any of us are being vindictive about it - we just don't believe it's true. I mean, with all of our confidence and no doubt, we don't believe that the Bible is divine. So what seems like gambling to you, doesn't a bit for us.
I know it must be frustrating to you that we're blind to something you KNOW is true. But it works the other way around as well - homophobia drives me crazy - it's like racism, only it's allowed because the Bible supports it.... aaaah.
Anyway, hope that answers your question!

We HAVE answered this question. About 500 times at minimum. We're saying "oh no, not Pascal's Wager again" because dingbats like you ask this kind of question AT LEAST once or twice a day, and we've been answering it for years.
So if we answered it one more time, it really wouldn't be worth it. You folks never listen.
But hey, perhaps you've never heard THIS before:
Why gamble by believing in Yahweh when you should be believing in Quetzalcoatl? HE'S the only god that can save your immortal soul. Ditch your indoctrination, your pride, your fear of the myth of Yahweh... and believe in Quetzalcoatl.

There is no risk whatsoever in rejecting imaginary beings.
The fact that you think it is true does not make it true.
My life means a great deal to me. It is the only life I will have so I refuse to spend it begging mercy from something that doesn't even exist.
Whatever pride I may have plays no role in my belief that no gods exist.
Is it not stupid, stubborn or illogical not to believe in something that has no evidence whatsoever. In fact, the reverse is true.

More then 100% chance? Odds like that would have proof. I still have yet to see any. I only gamble on a sure thing and I have seen no proof that god is a sure thing.
If you really want to be safe, You should be bowing down to all the gods through history. Just to be safe ya know.
