The information in the DNA that makes the baby is intelligently designed. The birth defect is a copying mistake in the DNA. Since this is a cursed earth (Genesis 3), copying mistakes happen.
As a result of God’s judgment on sin, God has given us a taste of existence without Him—a world full of violence, death, suffering, disease, and mutations. Dangerous weather patterns and natural disasters like hurricanes, tornadoes, earthquakes, and tsunamis should remind us that we no longer live in the Garden of Eden. It is a cursed earth and bad things are supposed to happen. Romans 8:20-21 says that the creation was “subjected to futility” by God, and talks about its “slavery to corruption.”

Ok have you considered that the creator, has a very good idea. That the bacteria in you large intestine. Will some day evolve and become an intergalactic super race. One that the intelligent creator can relate too,.
Your Problem is you think your the center of the universe. So if the creator doesent make YOU happy then he must not exist.
Well your not. Your just a host for a bigger plan on a small planet with a average star on the rim of an avererage galaxy.
YOUR too small to know what is good or what is bad.
Stick around another 25 billion years then you wont sound so arrogent.

No, I still say it had nothing to do with God. Man has destroyed the environment, destroyed themselves over and over, wiped out entire species of animals, forced other animals to the brink of extinction... let's not even speak of what we've done to vegetation!
I agree most birth defects are not drug related. They are caused by genetics, environment, illness, and a host of other reasons. Man cannot be excluded from the cause either. Genetic engineering has been around since the time of Noah.
The cross breeding of animals, man, plants (if you believe the reasons God supposedly sent the Flood) could have cause irreparable damage.
It has been said that malnourishment stunts growth, for example, we have no idea what our ancestors were up to nor the far reaching effects. If the body is damaged it will reproduced damaged goods. Period!
Can't point the finger of blame because there will always be three fingers pointing back.

The introduction of sin into the world does not make birth defects "intelligent design" when a person is set free or healed of something however, it reveals God's glory and love. When sin came into the world, it twisted God's intelligent design into something imperfect, untoward and unholy. Not to say that imperfect people are bad, but the sin in the world and how it affects nature, truly makes things difficult.... for everyone.

Birth defects and sin are two completely different subjects. One has no bearing on the other.
A newborn did not anger gawd (sic). That is an absurd concept.

For Morgaine...so through a child not having a face, or some other defect, is somehow revealing the glory of God? Well, if that's the glory of God, then God must REALLY like Quintin Teratino movies...

Look at it this way and maybe it will begin to make sense to you. When God created Adam and Eve He created them perfectly, including a perfect genome. Then they sinned and were kicked out of the garden. From this point instead of the genome being perfect it began to degrade. Errors were introduced. DNA replication went from being perfect to having the possibility of errors. Now over thousands of years we have a genome that is far from perfect and full of errors. Far from evolving and becoming better the genome is actually degrading. For an example of this look at the amount of junk DNA in our genomes.

it doesn't that is one reason why religion is blind it does remind of a story where the dr. announces the birth of a new son ..., well there is some problem he was born without arms and legs in fact no body at all just one huge eyeball but thanks to the glory of god the good news is he's blind.

The disciples asked Jesus this very question - he said the the child is not guilty of sin, nor are his parents. He said the deformity is allowed to reveal the glory of God.
