About 2 weeks after I got my first car I got a $20 parking ticket in another state and forgot to pay it when I got home. My car was brand new with no tags so the ticket just had the vin number on it. I am now moving to the same state where I got the ticket but now I have a completely different car. Will I have like a warrant or something? I need to know cuz I have to apply for a new tag for my car. Help Please!!

The odds are that seeing as there was no tag on the car, and you did not register the car in that state, there is no problem!

Unless they went to the dealer who sold the car to get the owner information, they have no idea that you owned the car!

If you had the same car the VIN may have been flagged in their computer, but with a different car, you have nothing to worry about!

More than likely there is a warrant out for your arrest. You need to call the police department that issued the ticket and pay the fine. Otherwise if you ever get pulled over they will either take you to jail or at least confiscate your liscens on the spot and you will be walking home. I know from experience.

Nothing to worry about. Parking violations are only an infraction (unlike moving violations). The worst thing that could happen is. They could hold up your registration, until you pay the parking ticket. If that happens pay it. If not forget about it.

The safest thing to do is to call your local DMV. Ask them what is on your record. If they tell you nothing, then I wouldn't worry personally. If they tell you that there is an outstanding Ticket, then I would definatley pay it ASAP!!!

you might be safe but don't count on it. If they catch ya, ya gotta pay it anyway so just go on with your life if it happens it happens
