Confucianism is a pure philosophy.
Confucianism is not a religion.
Much like Buddhism it is a process for stilling the mind so that one can elevate their thought process, and bring it once again into a state of balance.

No. Many would argue that it shouldn't even be counted as a religion, including many of the people who follow it. Adherents.com includes it in "Chinese traditional religion", which is puts at 394 million (but that is including many beliefs, not just confucianism)
