Why did you say this?
Is it because Atheist presence allows you to feel superior or holier than them, and therefore closer to God?
Or is it because the Atheists are trying to open the eyes of the blind faithful?

Yup .... Christians would say that. Without atheists, they will not have a chance to think they are superior to those who did not believed in their imaginative creatures.

well sure! They are the 'loyal opposition'. athiests are the ones who take the other choice of NOT worshipping God. Isn't that what the Bible says? Its all about choice right? I mean, they choose to burn in Hell and damned their souls for eterninty... so that's their choice right?
Oh wait, they don't believe in that stuff.
