Although this doesn't seem like a question, I will put in my two cents. Here in YA, as with just about everywhere else, you are going to run into the preachy set. Doesn't matter what they are preaching, they will preach their viewpoint. Here, it seem to be a bit more rampant, this sue to the annomity (yes my spelling sucks) of the internet. Everyone has a right to their own beilefs. Just lets all try not to preach, lets try to debate and possibly inderstand each others viewpoint. I am not saying we have to agree, just be tolerant of each other.
I myself am Pagan, and I believe in a simple thought process.
Seek your own truth. Your path may be different than somebody elses, but not necessariliy wrong. ALL groups have to realize that even though your faith may tell you to preach and convert the heathens....that just won't work in today's society.
So, lets try at least to stop the bashing and attempt to come to some understanding. And yes....I am aware that there are those out there that bash just to bash.
I like a reasonable debate and enter into them often. But when it turns to name calling and simple ingnorance...I find the block button, or the little x in the upper right corner of the window...(That is what it is there for).
With that said...Have a great day/evening and I wish all a plesant fall.

I am someone who many would think of as a fundie Christian and for the person (atheist) who calls me that, they may think they are insulting me, but really, they're complimenting me, according to the definition of the word. It is true that many whether they are Christian or atheist or neither all think that their opinion is the right one, even though it is contrary to what other people's opinions are. Opinions are just that: opinions. Are opinions true? Sometimes. But not all of the time, even if the person believing that believes wholeheartedly that they are right.
Now for the person that think their opinion is right, basically that they are right in general (no matter what their beliefs are) and if that opinion is wrong according to the Bible, to facts, to evidence, and even more so if someone shows them the truth and they still refuse to admit they were wrong in their opinion, why are holding on to that so hard? There is a saying, "you can be right or you can be happy. You can't be both." That means you can hold onto that you're right (whether you are or not) but you can't be happy because you don't find peace or happiness defending yourself or your beliefs whether they're right or wrong, particularly because many are opposed and will "fight" or "defend" back and that causes or can cause hatred, friction, hurt feelings, etc... But in the case, that say you are right in your beliefs, and someone is wrong (according to truth), and you don't "fight" or "defend" your beliefs but choose to live in peace with the one who believes contrary to you, then both of you are a lot friendlier. Granted, there are times when someone has received truth and will stand up for their beliefs which is often what Christians must do and it is commendable, because like the saying, "if you don't stand for something, you'll fall for anything." But the person doesn't need to "fight", especially in the sense of saying, "I'm right, you're wrong" kind of thing and turning the person away or against you, at least when it's not necessary. And like Jesus said, "don't cast your pearls before swine".
Jesus also said, "the truth will set you free". And it is also important to note that if someone determines the Bible to be interpreted this way and another that way which are both contrary to each other and maybe even what the context of the Bible is, say to yourself, "Am I God? Do I know what His Word means 100%? Do I always know the truth, especially when I and everyone else sometimes have pre-conceived ideas or personal beliefs that don't always line up with what God's Word says?" It also says in Romans, "Let God be true and every man a liar". People generally usually tell the truth. But no one of us can tell the truth 100% of the time or be right 100% of the time, at least until we come to the knowledge of the truth which is only found in the Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. God has perfect truth and many are liars at least some of the time and everyone in this world isn't right all the time in what they say or believe, at least until they come to the knowledge of the truth.
In short, you can only find truth in/through Jesus Christ.
Also, for those who don't want to be preached at, at least if it is a Christian preaching to you, instead of being all huffy about it, find out why and what their motives are, what the reasoning is behind it. Many times you find that the Christian is preaching because they were commanded by Jesus Christ to go out into all the world and spread the good news among all the nations, to plant a seed in the lost and perishing, in hope that God would give the increase and cause the lost person to come to be saved because the Christian cares as God does.

right this is a few thing to think of roughly. undergo in recommendations all those human beings you encountered that weren't rather "Christians", they have been purely "non secular churchgoers"? I even have information for you. you weren't rather an "Atheist", you have been an "irreligious jerk". Atheism is equivalent to gazing a magician carry out and understanding how the trick is executed. as quickly as you gain that time of awareness, there is truthfully no way, different than for a recommendations harm, which you would be able to unlearn what you have found out, and be surprised gazing the tutor yet back.

That's what I've observed too. I've even asked some of the atheists why my beliefs are of any concern to them. They dont know me-how can they set themselves up as judge and jury? Maybe it's just the anonymity of the internet that allows people to be moer outspoken than they normally would be. Nothing that anyone has said here has changed my mind. It's like I used to tell my ex-just because you say it-doesnt make it a fact.

* For a group that has long kept quiet about their beliefs, I'm not surprised non believers feel free and able to finally have some say online and throw back the fire and brimstone that has been thrown at us forever
* Many atheists are former believers...it's possible old preaching habits die hard.

There is not one man on this earth that is without sin. We are fall short of the glory of God.
That is why God sent his Son. To do what no man can do. Live a life without sin. And because he did this, he made it possible for all who believe in him to be saved from impending doom.
God loves us. He loved us even before we were.
We must be born again and allow his Son to live his life without sin through us.

Was there a question? I don't care if someone believes. I care if someone that believes infringes on my right not to. That includes laws, morals and life in general.

You're exactly right. When I see a 6 year old sitting on Santa's lap I don't go telling them there is no Santa... but there are people out there who want to.

I care if they make science out to be just "a belief". Because they wish to cause reasonable doubt where there really is none.

If the Christians can dish it out, why can't they take it?
The time of respect for religion, especially Christianity, is over. It deserves none and will not get any.
