please dont be a moron and take things in isolation and out of context
"Genes for homosexuality could be beneficial on the whole. In bonobo chimpanzees, homosexual interactions are a form of social cement. It is possible that homosexuality evolved to serve social functions in humans, too (Kirkpatrick 2000). After all, social cohesion is still a main function of sex in humans."

I'm Catholic, but I do have some liberal beliefs. I don't necessarily agree with Homosexuality, but also don't have an incredibly strong belief against it either. What someone does in the presence of their own home is their business. However, The Bible states that Homosexuality is a sin, which makes it wrong in God's eyes. With that being said, what more do Christians need to know? It's not that we are ignorant of the topic per se, but more that we know all we need to know about it - plain and simple!

The area where I live is largely fundamentalist and was a sundown town until the 1970s. African Americans did not live in this area until the 1980s. Seems that ignorance and hatred is old hat to some people.

It's interpretation. Leviticus states that you can't have sex with a man as you would with a woman. It's physically impossible to have sex with a man in the way you'd have sex with a woman. So you could interpret that as God being pretty neutral on the subject.
Or you could interpret it as Gay people being fine, straight people being fine but bisexuals are pretty much screwed.
You can't choose to be gay, but you can choose to use a passage from the Bible to fuel your own bigotry.

I don't know about that, we have been saying the following for years (cut & pasted directly from your website, not ours):
"Although homosexuality probably has a genetic component, much of its cause, perhaps most of it, appears to be nongenetic (Haynes 1995; Kendler et al. 2000; Kirk et al. 2000). "
====edit===
This is also interesting. YOUR scientists at YOUR website seem to be saying that homosexuality is a CHOICE, at least for some people:
"The most manifest heterosexuals may have homosexual tendencies, too. Homophobic male heterosexuals showed more arousal to homosexual images than did nonhomophobic heterosexuals (Adams et al. 1996). Societal condemnation of homosexuality may contribute to its genes being propagated by causing latent homosexuals to behave heterosexually. "
This is YOUR scientists saying this, not ours. Did you even read this before you posted it?

Well first it says that homosexuality is not primarily genetic. Christians agree with that. Its an effect of depraved behavior.
Secondly he says that homosexuality is found among species of animals. Well if homosexuals would like to be classified as a species of animal - fine. Would they like to be treated like monkeys as well?

In a word, fear. They fear what they don't understand. Same with evolution. Of course this is not true with all, but a good many of the ones I see here.
