NO you shouldn't have a girlfriend at this age. You are too young to have a girlfriend. There is alot of stress involved for boys and girls getting into relationships so young, you feel like you always have to impress each other, and if you don't impress one another you feel insignificant {insecure, unimportant}. Just wait until you are atleast out of highschool. I am not 12 but I did jump into relationships to early in life and I wish I would have waited then mabye I wouldn't have gone through so much drama. You should talk to your mom or dad maybe even both of them and ask them what their thoughts are. They might have some good advice for you. I am a mother of three boys and we always sit down and talk about their concerns. Good Luck!

Why not. Just keep it at a twelve year olds level. Still keep your friends and make sure schoolwork is your most important priority. Just have fun. When it is not fun anymore get out of the relationship. As with my my 14 year old this usually takes two weeks.

No, this will complicate your life at this age. Life is very confusing at twelve. The last thing you need right now is "steady" as we used to call it. No problem just hanging out but as a day after day, No way.

its up to you ...do you think your ready to Handel a relationship? Just thinkin you want to start a relationship isn't good enough. you need to want to start a relationship because its full time work. seriously think about if you want to get into it yet...im in grade 10 and i dont have a boyfriend and compaired to my friends my life is a whole lot more simple.

lol, go for it, but understand that when you're that age, it's never serious. - Most people don't get into serious relationships until their in their 20's. Have fun though, don't get into trouble or let anything that may happen get to you. =)

As long as you don't think its going to ge a mature realationship... i had a bf when i was 12... we hugged a few times... it was nice :)

7th grade? yes. I'm 12 and its old enough. it doesn't mean serious relationship but your still old enough. good luck with that though. its hard when everyone is already dating in my school lol.

Having a gf could be nice, but having to ask your folks to drive you places could get old really quick, and dating can get expensive....
