I work out 3 to 4 nights a week, weights and cardio. I need some ideas for my diet though. I dont have much time during the day to eat so I end up eating on the go or snacking later at night, and I also keep hearing different things as far as carbs and how many calories need to be comsumed. I'm not overweight I'm just trying to shed a few lbs and build lean muscle and get in shape, any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Since you eat on the go, prepare yourself healthy things you can take with you...such as turkey breast and veggies wrapped in a multigrain pita. Fresh fruit like apples, bananas, and pears are easy to eat just about anywhere. If building muscle is what you're looking to do, make sure your diet includes lots of lean protien. You can get protien from lowfat milk and yogurt, beans and nuts.
Whatever your body weight is, divide that in half, and that's how many grams of protien you should be eating so you don't loose muscle on your diet.

Have u tried 'the eat to live diet' by Dr.Joel Furhman? its not just for losing weight but also for eating healthier. i've starting this diet 4 weeks ago and i've lost 15 pounds. there are different diet plans in the book, for someone who want to lose alot of weight, the book has a diet plan for that , and if someone only wants to lose a few pounds, such as yourself, there is a diet plan for u in the book. basically, u eat fruits for breakfast, salad and beans for lunch and more fruits, and for dinner u will have a salad and 2 vegetables. and more fruits. u can find this book at barnes and noble.
