press the unlock button if that doesn't work unlock the door by pulling the little thing

If I was locked in a car and had a hammer, I'd try unlocking the door first. They tend to unlock from the INSIDE. If that didn't work, I'd roll down the window. Barring that, I'd try the sunroof (the imaginary car you've provided me with can have an imaginary sunroof if I want it to). Or maybe I'd roll down the top of my convertible. If all else failed, I'd use the hammer to threaten the person who locked me in the car in the first place.

When that someone gave me the hammer, I'd step out. It's hard for someone to give you a hammer if your locked in.

id use the button or pull up on the lock and get out,its almost impossible to lock someone in a car,a lot easier to lock them out than in,good luck.

In a normal situation, I'd just lift the button and unlock the door.
