yes. It will be cut off to above the collar, just below the ears.

Get it cut by a professional BEFORE you ship out, as they will just hack it off and be done with it.

yes it's true. i'm in the air force and was at Sheppard AFB for training and there was quite a few Navy girls right out of boot camp and they all had the same haircut. Take everyone's advice and get it cut before you go because the people who cut your hair there (I don't dare call them hair stylists) don't do a good job at all. it's very choppy looking.

if you would like to keep your long hair, join the army or air force. they let you keep it as long as it's in a bun and slicked back.

Yes, some will come off. It will be cut at about shoulder length, maybe a little shorter. If you want an attractive style, you may want to get it cut before you go to boot camp.

They cut you hair to regulation length which is just above your shoulder. Once your at your first duty station as long as you keep it off your sholders and pinned up while in uniform the won't be a problem having hair longer than shoulder length.

Im in the Air Force and they don't cut the females hair, but my sister in law is in the Navy and she was telling me that she cut her hair off before she went to avoid having them style it for her, but, they still cut her hair. So I dont think it matters if you cut it before or not, they will still cut it.

They will cut it if you don't. So get to a salon before you go get it cut the right length. I believe the navy is the only branch that makes females cut their hair. In the army if you had long hair you could wear a low bun.

cut your hair before you leave. There was a time when they attempted to let recruits keep and style their hair, but its no longer. There's no time in RTC to style your hair or put it up, so they cut everyone's. The people who do the cutting are barbers, not hair stylists so if they cut it, its one length, all the way across for everyone.

I've experienced mine both ways too... but the husband prefers it short... he never ever complains when I grow it very long, but is always all over him self w/the complements when I cut that off
