Because those who benefit have yet to pay for it.
As long as we continue to be the most productive workforce on earth (GAO; Automation keeps U.S. Workers Ahead of World), the leeches will do what they do, slowly bankrupting this nation.
I call for "A Month Without a Citizen" - no airports, no seaports, no schools, no hospitals, no banks, no water, NOTHING till we get an amendment guaranteeing the citizen the powers of veto and revocation of citizenship (only in cases of birthright citizenship to children born of two aliens).
Each lower house district has 100 voters, randomly selected. A 60% vote of that 100 = ONE VOTE. With 75% of districts in agreement, any item of ANY BILL leaving Capitol Hill would be automatically vetoed, leaving the president with ONLY what we find conscionable. If Congress - with their blinding 11% approval rating - doesn't like it, they can start again, knowing what we'll accept and what we'll reject.

I agree with you. How is it going to stop, when more people get out and vote for people that will listen to the American people and not special interest groups. People running for office need to know that to get the votes, they need to do the job or they won't be reelected at the end of the term. It's not just the people from Mexico, you need to also include other people of other countries that special interest groups are always finding ways to support. The numbers are never printed as to the amount of American students that want to attend college but can't because foreign students are taking their spots and will be returning to their countries.
Many years ago people coming into the United States had to have a sponsor that would be responsible for their needs, and that was their only resources. Now we have the rights groups that give very little in money to the support of these people, yet want to make certain they get even more than our old timers that need help. The bottom line is the American taxpayer is the life line of all the illegal alien and our government does nothing except make it look like something is taking place to correct the problem. The American public really need to not look at not just the party, but the people that will help correct the problems, such as all taxes, medical insurance that American families can afford, colleges that set aside a per cent of openings that families of American students that don't have a high income can attend, there are others, but I don't want to kill a tree or the power company.
God Bless American- if that or our flag offenses anyone, take the last dime on the table and leave America. You have your right, but it stops when you loose respect for my/our country.

A better question would be: "Why is the American taxpayer expected to support every employer who illegally hire undocumented workers"?
Employers who hire undocumented workers do not pay insurance and taxes on the wages they pay illegals.
They pay lower wages. Illegals have to depend on public services and welfare to supplement their living expenses.
This money comes out of the pockets of honest law abiding citizens who cannot afford to hire nannies, cooks, housekeepers, and gardeners weather they are legal or not.
Think about it America. If it were no illegal employers there would be quite a few less illegal workers.
The federal government should enforce the laws already on the books against hiring illegals.
But, that of course would deprive money greedy, lazy Americans of cheap, easy labor at everyone else's expense of course.

Because the "people" haven't made enough noise about it and ALL politicians are pandering for the vote of the children born in the USA that will vote when they turn 18 years of age. The USA is one of only a few countries in the world that says any baby born in this country is a citizen of it even if the parents are here illegally.

We need to weed out a lot of people in this country. I agree that illegals cause an unfortunate strain on legal citizens, especially middle class. However, I have to admit there are also a lot of legal free-loaders and they come in all sorts of shapes, colors, and sizes. The whole country is going to the dogs and something needs to be done but everyone just chooses to ignore. Its very sad.
Get rid of all the illegal free-loaders and criminals and then we need to get rid of legal ones too because they strain the middle class also.

The liberals want their votes. The politicians receive "gifts" from the corporate and pro-illegal lobbyists, buying their votes. Corporations profit by using illegal aliens to drive down wages and increase their profit margins.
I agree with you. It is far past time that Americans speak up for our rights, and demand respect of our laws, and use of our tax dollars to benefit Americans in need, not illegal aliens. We've made a start, but must remain vigilant and continue to voice our strong opposition to entitlements and amnesty for illegal aliens to our elected officials.
If those officials fail to listen, we need to vote them out of office and replace them with those will place Americans first.

In the short term illegal immigrants pay into the Social Security system which is almost bankrupt.

They also provide recruits for the military.

The Development, Relief, and Education for Alien Minors Act, or DREAM Act, is part of the stalled package of proposals that many in Congress are seeking to resurrect. The proposal, applicable to an estimated 750,000 undocumented residents of military age, stipulates that those who arrived in the United States before age 16, graduated from high school, and meet other qualifications could immediately enter the path to citizenship in exchange for at least two years' service in the armed forces.

Illegal Immigration negatively affects American Workers, the Unemployed, and Unions.
It also hurts the Environment by increasing Urban Sprawl.

Tancredo, Ron Paul, and Hunter have the most conservative voting records on immigration.

Of these three, Ron Paul has the best chance of winning the Primary election.
Paul's campaign has almost 5 times as much money to spend as Tancredo.

Ron Paul has stated that he wants very strong borders and he was appalled that our government had taken border guards off of our borders to send them to Iraq.
http://www.lewrockwell.com/orig8/haman3.html
This is his six point plan:
Physically secure our borders and coastlines. We must do whatever it takes to control entry into our country before we undertake complicated immigration reform proposals.
Enforce visa rules. Immigration officials must track visa holders and deport anyone who overstays their visa or otherwise violates U.S. law. This is especially important when we recall that a number of 9/11 terrorists had expired visas.
No amnesty. Estimates suggest that 10 to 20 million people are in our country illegally. That’s a lot of people to reward for breaking our laws.
No welfare for illegal aliens. Americans have welcomed immigrants who seek opportunity, work hard, and play by the rules. But taxpayers should not pay for illegal immigrants who use hospitals, clinics, schools, roads, and social services.
End birthright citizenship. As long as illegal immigrants know their children born here will be citizens, the incentive to enter the U.S. illegally will remain strong.
Pass true immigration reform. The current system is incoherent and unfair. But current reform proposals would allow up to 60 million more immigrants into our country, according to the Heritage Foundation. This is insanity. Legal immigrants from all countries should face the same rules and waiting periods.

wow that was amazing and now i can see why we have so many problems because some of the people answering on here cannot follow the bouncing ball. the word white was no where in your question, you never said mexican was a race and who mentioned indians? one question and you flushed out a racist and someone who likes to use diversionary tactics. in answer to your question you are right as rain. to me this whole thing is crazy it's like watching someone care for their neighbor. they feed, clothe, house them. all the while their own kids are starving, naked and homeless. there is no other country that takes care of others to their detriment of their own country but the U.S. how foolish is that? unbelievable!

First we just need to rise up to get free medical for our kids, lesser property tax regardless of what the "Mexicans' are paying.
Mexicans or any other race is not the problem. Problem is our old white senators. Who are just interested in power and money and do not give a crap about you and me.
Race and hatred is not the answer for everything.
