I got my new husband a really nice card (from the bride to her groom) and a little heart shaped charm that says "I love you" on it, to put on his keyring. Then he will always think of me whenever he sees or feels the charm (and he always has his keys with him.)

Yes, I bought my fiance/husband to be a special gift.

I probably went a little overboard with it ($520), but when we first started dating when we were 13, I had decided I would buy this for him when we got married. So, I had to do it.

I bought my fiance a custom made sword (rapier) - similar to this one:

This was so expensive because it is a custom-made one of a kind sword made for stage combat.

I think swords are cool and beautiful and men just seem to have a thing about them - so if you wanted to buy one for your sweetie, you could get a beautiful decorative sword for much, much less (one not meant to be used) - and you could probably get it engraved. They're pretty easy to find and it could be displayed somewhere special in your home.

When my parents got married, my mom bought my dad a pocket watch and had it engraved. I always thought that was pretty cool, too.

When I got married, I didn't get my husband a gift. I thought marrying me was enough! I think it would be nice to get him something that relates to something he's really interest in. I think the cufflinks, engraved flask, money clip stuff is really cliche.

Two things-- when we got engaged, my husband said it would be nice for him to have a ring, the same way I had a ring when we got engaged. So I got him a jade ring and he loved it.

Then, I wanted to get him something engraved, and he loved the idea of a small flask, on which I engraved our names, a private message, and the date. He still has that, too.

Up to you what's nice-- I would make it personalized, though. That's what will make it special. Got mine at Brookstone :)

Really I didn't give him any gift because it's our habit that the bridegroom brings every thing to the pride. He usually brings much gold, clothes and every thing that the pride wants or needs.
But If I was back to that time..may I'll buy him some good books because I like to read and he doesn't say no to books also.

I think the gift of giving him yourself is enough, but if you want to give a special gift then fine, it is up to you.

I bought him a cologne set of my favourite men's smell, Cool Waters, a watch, an engraved pen, and a keychain. I know it sounds kind of lame (the keychain!) LOL! But it was a keychain that was an "@" and he builds websites for a living, so my family suggested that it would be a good idea, because it's his line of work.

And he gave me perfume, a bath set, clothes, and jewellery.

Is he into something, video games, cars or anything else like that?
Mine has a truck that he is customizing, and he loves it, and I think for our wedding I will probably find something for his truck he wouldn't have otherwise bought, but still wanted. Lightbar perhaps, or something like that, and he loves video games, so maybe theyll have a new gaming system.
I expect nothing from him, mine is kinda like a thank you for putting up with my 2 years and 2 months of hassling you about our wedding, and thank you for adding input.

I am getting married on October 6th. I got my husband a sword (we're having a military wedding), which is something he wanted, but is incredibly expensive. I am so excited to give it to him!!
