I drank milk that was not expired, but was rotten. I was eating cookies with it and did not realize it tasted strange, I thought it was the cookies. And I don't know if I can get sick or not.

It depends on how far gone it was. If it was iffy then maybe nothing will happen. If it was really bad your stomach will tell you in no uncertain terms.

If nothing happens, don't worry about it.

If you puke, you'll know in a few hours and be over it in a day or so.

When milk goes bad, it turns sour. You eat sour cream all the time, but when they pasteurize milk, it kills all the good bacteria, and that leaves the gate open for bad bacteria to multiply rapidly.

Maybe you'll get sick. If you do, you will have GI distress, and will probably "spew from both ends", as my son used to phrase it. It'll be unpleasant, but it should be over within, oh, maybe 12 hours. You'll want to eat some bananas or drink some tomato juice in order to get some potassium.

It's not certain that you'll get sick. It might well be that you'll suffer no ill effects.

If you were in the habit of drinking raw milk, the milk would get lumpy and sour when it turns, but you'd just have cheese curds and whey, which don't taste good, but aren't going to hurt you.

It's quite tasty actually if you enjoy rotten banana peels. I once tried a jug of rotten green milk mixed with rotten egg and mouldy fruit salad for breakfast and it surprisingly helped me get though my day! Therefore I defeinately reccomdned it as it gives more nutrients and vitamins than fresh produce. Hope this helped!

Ew haha. Yeah last year on my birthday I woke up and I was so excited to eat "Cookie Crisp" and I poured it into my bowl, took this huge bite, and realized that it was rotten. It was so bad. I was in such a bad mood on my birthday. star!=]

Let me guess you've never seen the Seinfield episode where Kramer threw up on George's girlfriend Susan after he drank expired milk, huh? LOL and sorry had to write that in.

Okay question do you check the expiration date before you buy the milk? If yes then you are fine and you might go to the doctor and ask him/her just to make sure.
