For what will not be there, the Bible says that, "There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain." No more death? No cancer, AIDS, wars, or murders? No more "mourning"? No young widows trying to raise four children, no toddlers kidnapped by psychos, no crosses on the side of the highway signifying someone killed by a drunk driver, no whole cities perishing in an earthquake ... No more "crying" or "pain"? No divorces, ripping homes apart, no daughters being violated by fathers, no teenage boys or girls selling their bodies for money, no people feeling insecure because they're too tall or short or fat or skinny, no villagers starved out by governments, no lonely grandmothers whose husbands died twenty years before they will, no talented people wasting their lives through a heroin addiction, no gin-infested husbands using their wives and children as punching bags, no insults or malice just because someone has a different skin color, no hateful words spoken or heard?

For what it will be like ... No one but God knows for sure. But obviously it will be a whole new way of life. And, if the current world is any indication, we can expect the next one to show even more of God's creativity. We're talking different dimensions of time and space, and new activities and recreations we never even dreamed of. God is very creative. All we have to do is look around us. Our world is amazing. And yet, it could be that God hasn't even shown off yet. It's likely that he hasn't. But we can be confident of this: whatever heaven is, it will be much more than we ever imagined, or could imagine. We just have no idea. But it would have to be exciting for sure!

Honestly, I think it would be hell.

There is no way I want to live forever. After 432,434,654,766,345,234,234,123 billion billion billion billion billion years you just started in heaven (According to basic Christian belief). That would be the first day of eternity, with eternity to go.

What the heck are you going to do? There will be no new people to entertain you (after a while, according to Christian belief), so even after a few billion years, I will have learned every fact and met every person who ever lived. Then what?

Given eternity, I will someday be as smart (or infinitesimally close) as God. Then what?

I just can't conceive of how heaven, after a few trillion millenniums, could ever be interesting. I don't mean to be trite, but that is true.

The idea of heaven is ridiculous. Why? Because the idea of what feels good only exists relative to what feels bad. If nothing bad ever happened and you could have all the good you want, you would eventually get tired of the good and thus it would feel bad. What matters is what you do with your life, which is the only thing that matters. What are you doing to make your life special, and worth living?

that how i belive it would be and more more , it will be ETERNAL HAPPINESS and it would be the best place to be , IT is a reward from God that he kept only for pious ppl.
here's the description of heaven from islamic perspective as narrated in the Hadiths (oral traditions) of the Prophet of Allah (pbuh)

* Accessibility:
"When God Almighty created the heaven and the hell, He asked [the angel] Gabriel to go and take a look at what He has prepared for believers in the Heaven. Gabriel went and had a look at what was there in the Heaven, and then he came back and expressed himself thus: 'By your dignity! Whoever will hear of this Heaven will certainly strive for it.' Then it was said that the road to the heaven is littered with hardships, and Gabriel was asked to take another look at the Heaven. He came back and said, 'By your dignity I am afraid that nobody will be able to enter it.'" (Tirmizi)

* Gates:
"The Prophet of God (peace be upon him) said: Whoever performed a perfect ablution and recited the Shahada then all the eight doors of the heaven are thrust open for him — he may enter from whichever door he likes." (Sahih Muslim)

* Distances:
"By Him in whose hands my soul is, the distance between the two gate posts of paradise is like the distance between Mecca and Himyar or between Mecca and Basra." (Bukhari)

* God's throne:
"When you pray ask for Firdaws, for it is in the middle of heaven and is higher in grade than the heaven and above Firdaws is God’s throne, moreover the canals of heaven flow from Firdaws." (Bukhari)

* Climate:
The Qur’an says of the dwellers of the heaven: "They will see there neither the sun’s [excessive heat] nor the moon’s excessive cold."

* Soil:
"And then I was showed in the heaven, I saw there were camps made of pearls and the soil was of musk." (Bukhari)

* Vegetation:
"Indeed, there is a tree in heaven so big that if a person keeps riding on a brisk Madhamar [a specially bred horse] for a hundred years even then he would not reach the end of that tree." (Bukhari)

* Splendour:
"Abu Huraira (RA) reported that the Prophet of God (peace be upon him) said: There is no tree in the heaven that does not have a trunk of gold." (Muslim)

* Sleep:
"Sleep is the sister of death and the dwellers of the heaven will not sleep." (Silsalat al-ahadith)

* Beauty:
"Indeed, there is a bazaar in the heaven where the dwellers of the Heaven will come on every Friday. The northerly wind will spray scent on them and this will enhance their beauty. And when they will return to their homes, their households will say 'By God, your beauty has enhanced.' 'So has yours,' they will return the compliment." (Muslim)

If it is the modern, typical Christian heaven, all white clouds, people with big dove wings, and everybody being on their best behavior because GOD is right next door... damn boring. All of the interesting, fun, sexy, and honest people would be shown the 'out' door.

If Heaven existed, it would have to be custom-made for each person... my heaven would include a virgin and a hooker, but that's me
