Since you are taking a year off, find a job that you like and that they will accept you. During this time, work to save money while trying to figure out what you want to do in life then go back to college next year.

It was years before I decided to go to college and I can tell you I totally regret not doing it sooner. The work experience I gained during that time was good, but not good enough by the time I graduated. Additionally, the younger you are the more options and opportunities you have to flip flop around like a fish in your work life. You may decide being a TV producer is not for you. Who knows? More importantly, although I started late (I was 27) the college experience was something I would never trade in for anything in the world. Don't deny yourself those wonderful memories. Trust me the work world will be there tomorrow, and the day after, and the day after.....

While $12.50 is a pretty good starting salary for a young person like yourself, ask yourself: can I support myself on this for the rest of my life? While the employer is offering the potential for raises, there WILL be a cap placed.(NObody is gonna pay you $20 an hour when they can hire a new person at $12.50!)
If you have the means to support yourself while you pursue your education, I suggest you take it. An education is an insurance policy into the future: this job you currently have, may not be there forever. You will be limited, not only in your education, but by the competition: you will be in the largest category of the workforce, which means you will be competing for jobs with these people.
If you want to limit your potential, and your possibilities, then blow your education off. If you want to give yourself as good a chance as you can, pursue the education.
Good luck!

Even though this sounds like a good opportunity now, you need to refocus on your long-term goals. If you skip college, it may not make much difference now, but in 10 years when you're still working at lower level jobs and your friends are buying brand new cars and houses, you'll look back and regret your decision. Go to college, get a degree, and work part time in the mean time to help support yourself if you need to. If you have a dream and take the quick and easy route for the immediate gratification of having a job, I guarantee you'll look back later in your life and want to kick yourself for not pursuing your dream.

In almost any job that is something, you need college. Get your education, because 12.50 is not that much money in the real world. Go to school so you can get that really great job you can brag about. Remember because you go to school, doesn't mean you will get the job you want if you don't study and get on top of the class. I vote for school.

you are a young person who loves the Lord? do what would please Him. please do not look at anyonelse and their dreams and desires. You live for the Lord, and he will give you the desires of your heart. You don't just want to make money. you want to supply a need for others. that is what happend to bill gates, sam walton, you must thank the Lord for you God given talents and abilities. put them to work and the rest will come. oh sweet 18. i can remember. if you would only listen to what i have to tell you:
remember that you were trained to believe in yourself. so now put that with believing that the Lord wants you to do the best thing for the building of the kingdom. he needs for you to be educated. He needs for you to study. your friends are watching you. yes, the bible does say that 'money answers all things'. you need it. so who has it? it is all belonging to God. so let him know that you mean business. you are thanking him for the opportunity to praise him. you will trust the Lord to make your decision for you. Ask him to lead you in the 'way' that you should go. Your parents have "trained up a child in the way that he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it". maybe you were not the best child. no one is. but you remember what is right. so do not go in to this world with the idea that you only want to make money. you cant. God ownes it. learn from some of the rich. Most have humble beginnings. they give testimony that 10% has always gone to the Lord and he has truly blessed. Continue to love others, and don't be too hard on people. you are one.
and you know how you can be. so i am praying for you, dear. The Lord will hear your call. nothing is as glamorous as what the windows of Heaven can pour out to you. believe that. I want to hear of the good reports. He may guide you to continue your education and supply you with a part time job that pays very well. he knows your heart is to please him.
Peace
