Hey, does anyone know of any good male and female duets? My friend and i are doing a duet for our school show. my first solo was, 'listen to your heart,' however i have also sung summer nights. We were trying out a few hairspray songs however i cant seem to get the hang of them. We also sang, breaking free, from high school musical. The only problem with this is we wanted something a little more memorable for our first school duet. My male vocalist is quite low so nothing to high please. thanks ever so much x

Would You Light My Candle?, Tango Maureen, from Rent is good, you can cut out a few parts because it's a little obscene, but very funny...there are movements to go with it...
Ain't No mountain High Enough by Marvin Gaye and Tammy Terrell...
Party For Two and From this moment on, by Shania Twain
or a classic, Anything you can do, I can do better...anyways good luck!

Barbera Streisand and Michael Crawford did a version of "Music of the Night" as a duet. My bass friend and I enjoy performing it together. Also look at "The Prayer" (Josh Groban/Charlotte Church and Andrea Bocelli/Sarah Brightman have done this duet). They can be a bit difficult to pull off properly, but if you can manage it, they're fantastic.

Also, "All I Ask of You" is a lovely duet from Phantom of the Opera. Raoul is a tenor, though, so see if your bass friend can handle it. It's worth a shot.
