Dear questioner, what atheists are trying to agree with is that the invisible is existent. Simply put they agree that God exists.

Wind can be explained by air moving from areas of high pressure to low pressure. Wind can be explained by science, and it is very easy to see the effects of the wind. Atheists do not claim invisible things do not exist; atheists are not generally that stupid. On the other hand, this question is pretty dumb.

Chances are that whoever told you that the invisible was non-existent was not an atheist, but someone trying to malign atheists. The non-existent is invisible, however, and that means any god without real-world impact is just as good as non-existent.

The wind has real-world impact. As can be shown by a hurricane.

Of course wind exists. I can feel it blowing against me and see it moving objects and hear it whistling. Wind can also be measured with scientific equipment. Gods cannot be felt by the senses or measured with scientific equipment. So if something can't be sensed or measured, then the only reason left for someone to believe it exists is wishful thinking.

Okay Bogo.......your one and only opportunity to ask a well thought out question and you flopped. Since when did invisible become non existent? Gases, electrical current, wind. All can be used and felt.........Are you trying to compare these with your god?

I can see when the wind dances with the trees and when it plays with my hair... I can feel the wind, and can see it's effects... Wind is not invisible.. for I can see it's actions... I can see it's power, it's energy. Electricity, like the wind, is not invisible, electricity is very visible: objects are visible because light is reflected by the atoms' electrons within the objects. Where is your God, where is his power??.. where is his energy..?? It is within you, in your brain... your God is not invisible... for YOU are the creator of this superman/woman... you are ''God''....

Wind can be measured, it's effects can be seen to affect the environment. God, on the other hand, is invisible and cannot be measured by any coherent means at all.

Strawman argument. Atheists don't claim that the invisible is not existent.

As an atheist, since I believe the invisible is non-existent, I must not believe in gravity. At least now I know why I have to keep myself tethered to the planet or risk flying off. Thanks.

Can we say strawman?

Atheists don't claim that the invisible is non-existent.

I can measure wind - its speed, its effects, the direction in which it is blowing. I can also feel it.

There is evidence, in other words, for the existence of wind.

There is no evidence for any sort of god.

As ZERO COOL said wind can be measured. Also if I feel wind I can toss dirt in the air and SEE the effects of wind on the dirt.
