I am horrible sorry for your situation. As a Social Worker , I wonder why they were taken from yu in the first place?
However, I think you would better benefit from some support groups in your local community. Go to the local YCC (Your Community Connection) or to Social Services and ask for help. Online support might be alright but not as sufficient than a support group with real life people. I hope everything will work out for you. All I can tell you is be very, very strong and comply with everything that Family Services is doing. Good luck . angelika

You haven't said why they have been put in foster homes! My feelings go out to your children!! Pull yourself together and think now that you are going to do everything to makes these childrens lives as happy as you can possibly make them. Life isn't full of roses for every other family, they all have they good and bad moments. As long as you keep remembering this and that they are not from you forever. Just get through each day, and get them back to you as soon as you can. Fight for your children.

Right, take no notice of the nasty answers. if you didn't care you wouldn't be asking. if you have a citizens advice place near you, make an appointment, and see where you stand. alternatively, go to a family and childrens rights lawyer. if you are in the uk, you will find it in the yelow pages. look under solicitors, and find one which deals in family law, and offers legal aid. if you are on benefits, you won't need to pay. if you are on a low income, you'll get payment relief. good luck to you. x

Helen I am happy to chat with you.
My son has been in DSS custody since January.
Believe me it is hard.
I am not aware of any support systems out there for US the parents.
You are not being selfish. The separation is worse than the act that put him there.
