"Neko" means cat in Japanese. It's easy to spell and say. Or how about some of these:
Apollo
Alladin
Simba
Sinbad
Solomon
Ramses
Judah
Jasper
Magellan
Orion
Cato

Ebony + Ivory. Yin + Yang. Fish + Chips. Cuddles + Kisses? Rumba + Khan (Means King) To make it female maybe Khana? Or Rumba + Bano (persian for lady or princess). Stumpy + Fluffy. Ben + Jerry. Tom + Jerry? Lol. Eros + Storge. ( Eros is — a passionate physical love. Storge — an affectionate love that slowly develops) Rum + Raisin? OK, that's all the cliches I can think of! Lol.

I found this along with about every Egyptian cat name there is on this site
http://www.solarnavigator.net/egyptian_cat_goddesses.htm
AMUN (AH'-muhn; Male): This would be a good name for a dominant cat; a strong but silent type that may very well have sired countless offspring. You see, Amun was the god of fertility, reproduction, and sexual power. Due to this attribute, he was also considered god of agriculture. His name signified "the hidden" or secret operations unknown to man. He was the chief god, King of the Gods, not unlike his counterparts ZEUS and Odin. With his ruling might over the gods, Amun soon became associated with the Pharaohs. With the combined powers of regeneration and royalty, Amun became linked to the sun and the great god RA, becoming known as Amun-Ra, which pretty much consolidated his status as supreme god. As with many religions, Amun belonged to a trinity, this one consisting of his wife MUT and their son KHENSU. If you have a family of three cats, you might consider these unique and fitting names.

I like Cheetos too! That's my vote.
It took me four or five names before I settled on Eddie for my second cat... I tried many out yet none stuck . Then, last year my life long friend Ed passed away from pancreatic cancer after only 46 short years on this planet. He was the sweetest person and best friend anyone could be honored to have. To honor his memory I named my little buddy Eddie and it stuck immediately.

I totally agree with with Angel. Good answer. We have several cats that have wondered into our life over the years. Everyone has been named from its looks and actions. A name will come to you. Your kids will most likely notice before you. It would be best if the kids could pick a name. It bring them closer to Kittie. Good luck, and enjoy.

I have a friend who named their tabby Bengal.
Or:
Isoke--means hairy
Jafar--means little stream, also from Aladdin
Alesar --means lion
Laith--lion
Leander--lion
But Bagheera or Shere Khan would be good too!!

I honestly think that the name will just come to you one day. You will be sitting around and all of a sudden, his personality will show you his own name. When we adopted out cat, he came with the name Toby which was cute but when we got him home he definately was not a Toby, he was a Jake. It's an inside thing but his name totally fits him! It will come to you, it's something you and your family need to pick.

How about Kumar? It's a popular Indian name, and that's where Bengal tigers come from.

Rajah
That is Jasmine's tiger in the movie Aladdin. Your kids would probably enjoy that.
