no credit cards accepted. only cash or e-z pass

I am not entirely clear about your question, but I will try. I think you may mean the Thruway or some other toll road that is in New York.
I have never found a toll road that accepts credit cards, however, many of them - - including in NY - - accept EZ Pass, which can be linked to a credit card.
