Mabe you have the program running at start up....check your start up programs...or just go to control panel,Administrative tools and click services... Check for Microsoft office there and it should give you options of repairing and disabling Microsoft office ...! Good luck..! or alternatively do a system restore before the point of distraction

Sometimes when you purchase a new computer, all the OS and software is pre-installed, maybe you skipped a step during your first start-up, usually the computers comes with a OS CD (Windows), and another one that's labeled SOFTWARE & UTILITIES, see if one of those CD's has that label and check it if there's the Microsoft Office.

This will be one tricky one to solve, there are many different versions of Office, and believe or not, you need the same CD version you used to install Office, or it simply wont work.

tis not that, you must of recently updated your computer with the automatic update and sometimes it has some new information for the microsoft office and trys to intall it on your main microsoft office and to do that it needs your cd to do that, install your cd and it will saught it for you, i had the exact same problem on my computer but when i put my installation disk in it fixed it for me

as long as XP house is put in on a working laptop or pc that meets the gadget standards, there is not any reason you shouldnt have the skill to place in provider p.c.. 2. in spite of the shown fact that in case you have XP on a device that has much less then the standards, then SP2 will possibly not set up. additionally needed which you're downloading over a broadband connection that a minimum of help 50kBs get carry of speeds.

did you install it then removed the cd before you rebooted, it mybe that you have not let it complete on reboot so its looking for the cd to finnish installing

Yeah - check your start up programmes - something at start-up is looking for it and not finding it.
