Never been to Phoenix, but wuld like to go. Been to Vegas a few times...it's much closer. So, I can't tell you which is better, only that I have had great experiences at Vegas.

As a native Nevadan who grew up in Las Vegas I am bias, go to Vegas.

Las Vegas in my opinion. I really like the new track configuration and the infield pit area is really nice.
