Okay, I've always had a thing for red-heads who don't have the stereotypical "Ginger" features. Now, I'm worried that getting involved with anybody who has red/auburn hair is a BAD idea.
The reason I'm worried, is that I've been seeing couples that have one red-headed person who looks normal and has normal textured hair, and one person who isn't red-headed, but their child has a frizzy, wiry-looking orange afro and looks NOTHING like either parent in the face.
I mean, I should just avoid red-headed guys altogether, right?
It would be weird to get married to someone, have kids, then when you look at your children all you see is that guy from CSI: Miami!

I never said that I wanted my children to only look like me.
I SAID, that I was afraid that they would turn out not looking like either parent.
Try reading the question correctly!

lol, love the CSI Miani comment!! I love to hate that show!
My sister is a brunette and married to a red head, they have one dark blond child and one light blond child. Red is not the dominant gene, so its less likely to have a red head from the mix.

As long as you and the guy do not have fizzy hair in your family that kid is not going to have fizzy hair. My mom is a red head and my dad has brown but red runs in his family. Both my brother and I have red hair. Neither one of us as fizzy hair and i look like a spitting image of my mom and my brother is a spitting image of my dad minus the hair color.

Well if that's how you look at things then maybe you shouldn't date a red head. Heaven forbid you have a baby that looks like the father that would be terrible!!!! Especially since you are the one that supposedly fell in love with this man and had his baby. I really think you need to rethink things on this subject.

This question is too funny. This is why looks matter, right? We date and marry good looking people so our kids can be good looking.
I wouldn't worry about it. Your genes might be much stronger.

Sorry, but this is a useless question and is quite disturbing. You seem like a very selfish person.

i was in the same boat... i totally understand.
my husband has red hair (more dark auburn in color) he has the dark brown eyes (not the creepy green) and no freckles.
so, i was afraid our kids would have the freaky orange hair and freaky green eyes...
but guess what.........
my son has brown eyes and dark hair....
go figure?!?!?!?
you will never know until you have one to see, but i do understand your concern

If you are SO worried that your children will not look like you and might look like their father, maybe you should practice a bit of incest. That way, you would have a better chance of a family resemblance!
How petty and self-absorbed can you get ????
