Okay, I'm interested, Christians, why did you choose God over Satan? I mean, the Bible tells the story of God killing 2,270,369+ people and Satan killing 10, and in lue with God... and even these he shares with God, since God allowed him to do it as a part of a bet... the seven sons and three daughters of Job. and the only person the Bible tells you to believe is God... but why would someone trust a person (do this and i'll give you xzy... in this case, eternal life) who, in America, would possibly be sentanced to death 2,270,369+ times, when you would never take the threats of say, an Islamic extremist and they seem to be proving their point in the same way - why did you choose God, not Satan?

In this figure "No attempt was made to include the victims of Noah's flood, Sodom and Gomorrah, or the many plagues, famines, fiery serpents, etc., with which the good book is filled."

Gods Child - isn't that directly out of the Bible though, the one from which these figures about murder have been pulled?

Actually that is simply one of many, many websites that quote this figure, in fact, most quote higher. However, because of text limits I could only post one link.

Also, I didn't critisize your religion - I asked a question. I note that you didn't take any consideration for my own religious principles in your answer - in fact, I didn't even say I wasn't a Christian.

As for rape, molestation etc... been there, done that. I'm 18 and i've been homeless, I lived below the poverty line, i've been sexually assaulted by 2 guys, i've lived in a drug den, i've committed fraud and attempted murder, i've seen my parents put in jail, i've been a 'circus kid' when we had no-where else to live... having history doesn't make your God any more real than anyone elses, neither does the fact that i've done all this and yet have a roof over my head and am in university. That's just the result of hard work.

Maybe you should look at some of my other q's... you're about as shallow as a puddle.

Oh, and i've been a volunteer with adults with learning disabilities, and i've watched a whole bunch of pagan friends dedicate their lives to helping others, so that doesn't prove the Christian God either... it just proves that people are sometimes capable of kindness.

For a list of reasons of a former atheist/agnostic here goes... 1)having been gifted with clairovoyance and other "psychic" gifts since my youth and having tried to fight these gifts for over 30 years I asked the source "Who are you, and who am I??? He answered me with a visit from an ArchAngel I didn't know existed before that. 2) As in # 1 I can sense both the good and the bad in people and asked for the power of the Light... and quickly discovered there is nothing on this planet that can compare to this 3) 2 near death experiences the 1st one I barely remembered until a few years ago 4) One too many new age groups laying claim to aliens or wizards or...5) A faith that I will never lose is now upon my temple and the soul returns to God 6) Life is short and there is nothing upon this planet that could interest me to lose my faith none of the 7 deadly sins hold much interest as being but a temporary release 7) He that created owns us already so have you any other being to believe in??? How can people chose Satan? I don't understand!!! Even if you're a non-believer. Satan is pain, hate, death, suffering, unhappiness, laziness, drugs, lies, war, and all the bad things in the world. God on the other hand is Love, passion, happiness, and all the good things that a human being strives for. I mean come on, the reason this world is so screwed up is because of these freaks of nature people who would chose Satan over GOD. No wonder they're miserable out of their minds and damn themselves for eternity. Hell on earth and hell in HELL. Sorryforr all this crazy stuff I'm writing it's just I got really mad at everything these people are writing. I'm not some kind of Christian freak, I'm just a regular 19 year old girl, but I know that I'm a God's child and only he creates miracles in my life that no human force can ever do.

Why did I chose good over evil? Why do I like positive things as opposed to negative things? I think maybe you should read the New Testament. When I read the Bible I found alot of the Old Testament to be a little depressing. But when I got to the New Testament it was obvious that Jesus & God were all about love. My choice comes from my heart. You will have to make your own choice to find out. But basically an eternity in Heaven sounds much better than an eternity in hell with eternal flames and crying and gnashing of teeth.

Where did you get that number? Did you count it, or just Google it? Oh, I see - blogspot. Hmm.

Honestly, answering this question is like answering, "Which would you rather eat, filet mignon or trash?" It's a simple matter of good versus evil, light versus darkness. I've seen the works of both, and it's very interesting how apparent their origins are.

Not to feel sorry for myself, but I've been molested, raped, abused - you name it. Not once have I blamed it on God, but rather the weak souls of others influenced by satan. Despite these adversities, I've been blessed with good health, family, friends, experiences - you know it. God has given me the strength to overcome all these things and more.

I've watched Christian people such as my mother take time out of her busy schedule to run a soup kitchen downtown feeding homeless. Instead of wasting her time killing babies or bashing others' religions on an online message board, she gives back for her many blessings.

You can see God in everything that's good (from the sunset to the kind works of others), and despite how evil this world is, I can't help but notice a light that refuses to go extinguished.

So go ahead, give me your thumbs downs. Fortunately, my happiness and well-being is not entirely dependent on Yahoo Answers.

Don't try to spread your filthy satanistic propaganda here!
Only a stupid person would choose Satan, they creator of all evil that exists over God,the creator of everything, the savior of our souls, the allmighty protector from Satan.

Questions like this make me miss inquisition.

Because apparently God is willing to torture people forever, where as Satan is just trying to give them a bad time during this life.
