Ro 15:13 Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that you may abound in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.
rom 8:24,25 For we were saved in this hope, but hope that is seen is not hope; for why does one still hope for what he sees? But if we hope for what we do not see, we eagerly wait for it with perseverance.
Heb 6:19 This hope we have as an anchor of the soul, both sure and steadfast, and which enters the Presence behind the veil,
Heb 3:6 but Christ as a Son over His own house, whose house we are if we hold fast the confidence and the rejoicing of the hope firm to the end.

HOPE:
Romans 5: 3-5 "And not only that, but let us exult while in tribulations, since we know that tribulation produces endurance; endurance, in turn, an approved condition; the approved condition, in turn, hope, and the hope does not lead to disappointment; because the love of God has been poured out into our hearts through the holy spirit, which was given us."
Trust:
1 Peter 5: 6,7 "Humble yourselves, therefore, under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt YOU in due time; while YOU throw all YOUR anxiety upon him, because he cares for YOU"

If you have been victimized work on the psychological recovery as you work on recovering your spirituality. Do not ignore the psychological trauma these evils cause. Take off the rose colored glasses and drop your beliefs in "good people" and "those other people". Open you mind to injustices that others ignore or blame on the victims. Now that outright brutality is no longer stood for, look for the "social acceptable" brutalities and see how society is accepting things that it should not. The sexual abuse by people who are trusted is not that far from less illicit injustices and evils. We are surprised when evil that we prefer to ignore is shoved in our faces. Be alert to all injustice around you, not just the shocking ones in the news. The warping of sexuality is part of accepted culture. The licit warping is not good. The illicit is horribly evil. The conversion of culture, the redemption of all human society is the will of God and a task worth lending yourself to.
