No. It's called "PROPAGANDA”. The sources quoted by proponents of the “GLOBAL WARMING SCHEME” have been proven to be “cooked” and skewed data, twisted to fit their “POLITICAL GREEN AGENDA”. Following are the results of an unbiased survey conducted by The Heartland Institute of “real” (not fabricated) environmental scientists, which does not support the bogus claim that 99+% (as erroneously reported by "Bob" above) of scientists believe that global warming as “fact” and caused by the human agent.
The “green agenda” of Eco-Wackos like Al Gore is to create “alarm” and “fear” and shift peoples thinking to abandon national autonomy and embrace the Globalists’ agenda of a “One World Order Government”; and Al Gore has the hidden intent to strategically position himself as the “Planetary President”. This is why he is not running for U.S. President in 2008, because he's going after the bigger title. The whole green phenomenon is a ruse.
"Warming Debate Not Over, Survey of Scientists Shows"
Written By: James M. Taylor

According to the survey:
•34 percent of environmental scientists and practitioners disagree that global warming is a serious problem facing the planet.
•41 percent disagree that the planet's recent warmth "can be, in large part, attributed to human activity."
•71 percent disagree that recent hurricane activity is significantly attributable to human activity.
•33 percent disagree that the U.S. government is not doing enough to address global warming.
•47 percent disagree that international agreements such as the Kyoto Protocol provide a solid framework for combating global climate change.

I don't doubt that something is happening, but to assume that the cause is due to the human agent simply because it parallels the rise in fossil fuel emissions is a stretch. How do we know that this relationship isn't simply a coincidence? A coincidence that happens to also parallel "THE" true causative agent, say the celestial approach of unseen stellar intruder raging electromagnetic havoc on our Sun and Solar System, and thus disturbing the electromagnetic magma within the Earth that is heating the seas and changing the climate... Is this why earth now has a 3rd belt to the Van Allen Radiation Belt? Is this why the Sun is exponentially more violent producing 8 million mile long corona mass ejectas (CME's)? Is this why there is an exponential increase and severity in earthquakes? Is this why the Martian Polar Ice Caps are melting? Is this why Pluto is warmer? Think about it.
Despite the “cause”, clearly the whole phenomenon has been politicized for economic and political gain for a “few” setting themselves up as the all-knowing “Green Elite”.

some very thrilling comments here. i for my area have not got self belief worldwide warming is guy made, no longer once you seem on the real information of ways long we've been producing CO2 and in that element the international has international temperature has constantly fluctuated with classes of cooling and warming. 1940 to 1975 the international went by using a cooling section. From 1975 the international has entered a warming section etc. the middle a protracted time the international became lots warmer than that's now, yet a lot of you seem to thoroughly overlook approximately those information that's exceptionally much as in case you do no longer pick to pay attention an option argument. final nights programme had a eastern scientist who became head of the Antarctic survey. He suggested that the melting of the Artic ice is a classic phenomenon. Over hundreds of years the ice %. has greater advantageous and decreased in length in length throughout the time of the historic past of this planet and not something is going to alter that technique. no person is asserting we ought to constantly in basic terms standby and overlook approximately pollution and shop producing gasoline guzzling automobiles. Our aspects are finite yet on an identical time we could quiet down on the hysteria considering that's precisely what that's, hysteria.

There is no such thing as 'Global Warming', the correct term is Climate change.
Global Warming are 'spin' words used by governments and media to enforce a certain measure of fear.
Whereas Climate change is a reality. Whether it is down to the human effect and a natural process is still in debate. Personally I feel that it is a natural process, not one we can change. We can do our bit for the environment though.
We should demand a new fuel rather than fossil fuels (don't forget, every great nation makes its money from carbon fuels) we should demand less packaging, or better still no packaging where possible. We could save water, electricity, gas. We as individuals cannot make a huge difference, but it is us that are made to feel guilty
The governments of the world's next moves should be eliminate all coal-fired power plants and cease the production of gasoline and diesel fuel. But that is where the problem is. These all create money.
Global Warming - scary words, green taxes prevail
Climate change - real. Happened throughout this history of our planet, and there's not a lot we can do about it.

Scientist have been wrong too many times in the past, about things they were sure of, for me to jump on the bandwagon immediately. Besides, there are still scientist arguing the other side of the issue, regardless, of what some people would have you believe. Intelligent people don't take sides based on emotional beliefs. We weigh all the evidence. Something that has not been done if there is still room for debate. Another thing about all the hype that really bothers me, is how political it all is. When this is the case, you have to be very very careful about what side of an issue you take. We all know politicians are driven by greed and ambition. Look at all the scandals. This alone makes me want to step back and find out what really is motivating them to be so supportive of the global warming hype. I refuse to let government step in and regulate one more thing in my life, without being absolutely sure that it is the right thing to do. So, to answer your question, no I don't believe the hype, yet. I am still on the fence so to speak. If someone wishes to convince me that global warming is caused by humans and not just a natural cycle of the earth, they had better bring absolutes to the table, not if's, may be's and possibilities.
EDIT
I wish to clarify what I mean when I say I don't support the hype. I acknowledge that the earth is warming. This is not at debate in my mind. What I am unsure of, is the cause of it. I have not been convinced that humans are responsible, yet.

No way, it's silly to believe it. It's hype set up by liberals and lefties to mislead everyone.
This year in Paris there was a major 'scientific' symposium on 'global warming'. All the scientists present came out supporting the idea. Only problem here is...haha...the meeting was by invitation only, and in order to be invited you had to be a scientist, lobbyist, doomsayer or whatever who publicly supported this global warming nonsense beforehand. Otherwise, you were not allowed to attend, and a majority of scientists were therefore disqualified from having a say. It was a cleverly orchestrated deception.
Every year these braindead lefty scientist-wannabees come out with their wild weather predictions...steamy summers, wild storms, hurricanes battering the Gulf of Mexico (lefties love to keep the price of gasoline high so we'll drive less).
Defying all the dire and crazy predictions, summer here was actually cooler than normal, with no major storms. Where I live it was a good hiking summer, but bad for swimming. Al Gore and his left-leaning band of buffoons should realize that not all the world is totally gullible. The global warming theory is, thankfully, beginning to die a well deserved death. As people become more educated they are tending to draw away from believing in it.

I don't have any problem with the idea of global warming. It is happening - there's no doubt about it.
What I dislike is global warming alarmism, bad science, personal opinion presented as science, statistics and figures that are misleading or just plain wrong and the fact that the whole issue has almost become a religion.
How many times can you read about the IPCC quoting "2500 of the worlds top scientists agree", when not only are they not all climateologists anyway but they didn't agree at all - the IPCC report was edited to look like they did.
By all means, read the science, but read it all - those that say humans are causing global warming and those who say they are not. Only then can you glean any kind of informed opinion and not just be scared into accepting any political edict forced upon you.

Climate change is happening, always has and always will, as long as this planet has an atmosphere, it is part of how our planet works, with or without humans.
The last 30 or so years have been getting warmer, and the previous 30 years it was getting cooler.
I have been working in environmental science for 30+ years and together with many of my colleagues, we are deeply sceptical about the 'man made cause' part of the story. Both the degree of warming and human's contribution to it has been grossly exaggerated for a variety of political reasons. Computer models are useful tools for learning to understand how global climate works but they are not nearly good enough to make any predictions with. It is just too easy to manipulate the model to conform to a required political agenda. Nudge up the amount of CO2 going into the atmosphere a bit, and increase the capacity of CO2 to absorb heat and you can produce a catastrophe to come in a few years time.
At the moment the IPCC use figures that are double the measured amount for CO2 going into the atmosphere (0.4% per decade instead of 0.2% per decade) and treble the capacity of CO2 to absorb heat. (2.5C - 4.0C instead of 0.5C - 1.5C) for a doubling of CO2. This has happened because they rely on computer based theoretical speculation rather than actual measurements.

Its happening but humans are not the cause, we simply help make it worse. The earth goes through these cycles which is why Grapes used to be grown in Scotland and why we have had mini ice ages when there were fairs held on the Thames because the ice was so thick. There are records of massive storms in history which if they occured now would be blamed on global warming
There was no large scale burning of fossil fuels then so how do humans cause it?

I believe that the earth is hotter now than 20 years ago because there is not much point in disputing this fact.
I do not however subscribe to the current popular view of why it is happening nor will I be bullied into believing it.
My opinion is that it is obviously correct that we should find cleaner ways to do things but that it is wrong to presuppose our influence over the planet is causing this natural phenomenon.
I think that Solar and Volcanic activity (or lack of it) have a far greater controlling effect on the earths climate and can explain the current blip.
It's worth remembering that a similar scare emerged during the 1970s when scientists predicted global cooling and the imminent onset of a new ice age!
I wonder if the dinosaurs were as arrogant as us when they faced mass extinction.
