Hi there,

The neutrogena product you are asking about is not for acne scarring, but for acne. If it's scars and scratches you want to get rid of, you should try one of the at home microdermabrasion kits available. neutrogena has one, but its not that good on acne marks, it works better on age spots and freckles.
my suggestion is to go and try 3-4 at home microderma products. they mildly resurface the skin surface, removing superficial scars. the kit from youthful essence worked best on my acne scars. ponds has a good product and so does dermanew, but this one is a bit expensive.

No, it is primarily for existing acne. Neutrogena does have another product out, though, that specializes in minimizing the red spots that linger after a zit is gone. I forget what it is called, but look in the Neutrogena aisle and there is one specifically for that. As for the little scratches and scars, I'm afraid microdermabrasion is really the only option to really smooth that out, but take it from me- the scars get less noticeable as you get older if they weren't too bad in the first place. I have a few small scars and scratches on my cheeks from having moderate acne in my early 20s, and now I am almost 28 and you can barely see them unless I'm standing right in the direct sunlight.
