Limbo doesn't exist. I think you are thinking of Purgatory.

I just read two books on Purgatory. Every soul that goes to Purgatory will eventually end up in Heaven. It's a place for purification. Nothing with a stain of sin can enter the Kingdom of God. When a person dies with moral sin on their soul and without repentence and God's forgiveness, they will go to hell. If one was forgiven, they will go to Purgatory. They had been forgiven but they still have to be punished for their sin(s). Purgatory isn't like Heaven because they aren't in the presence of God. And it's not like hell because they aren't with Satan and the demons. It's a place where the souls weep because they aren't with God and they are to purify themselves before God lets them in Heaven. A soul can be in Purgatory for half a second or for hundreds or thousands of years. Remember, there is no time with God. A second in Purgatory can feel like a "lifetime" to that soul. They long for God's true-presence.

Once in hell, you are always there, forever. Once in Heaven, you are always there, forever. Once in Purgatory, you are there until God deems you pure and then you enter Heaven, forever.

Limbo has gone the way of not eating meat on Fridays---Catholics have done away with it.

Also if there was a limbo, it's really only for children that are too young to not have been baptized.

They canceled Limbo at Vatican II I think. I guess they have to go to Hell with the rest of us now.

nope, they go to heaven like everyone else.
my theory is is that if God is dangling you over hell, you wouldnt deny him. God always forgives.
