God Bless You for that question. People skew God's word because they want to do what they want to do. It's called rebellion! Fornication is the only sin that you can do with your body. It's hard not to fornicate, but how much does a person love God. It is very dangerous to add or take away from God's word. If the forementioned Christians know what the Lord said, and decided to do what they wanted to do, Pray For Them! The Christians who do their thing with no consideration for God's Law will have to answer the WHY question when Jesus returns.

Firstly, TempestTwighlight . . . you are hilarious! Nothing in the Bible . . . lol Another word for premarital sex is "fornication", and we all know (Christians) that that is expressly forbidden, and that there are numerous references in the Bible where Jesus warns that fornicators will NOT enter the Kingdom of Heaven. So, they can "skew" it all they want, but it doesn't change anything. And, good luck in "justifying" their fornication when they are standing before the judgment seat of God.
And, you are absolutely correct, it doesn't change today --- a truth is a truth yesterday, today, tomorrow and forever.

People love to claim they accept god but by their own terms not his. I lived and had sex with my husband before marriage so what's next, should I just go on and doubt him what good does that do. I realize it was wrong and was living for the moment. Although I try to better myself now 10 fold. I knew a girl that is a strong Christian and used to preach to everyone that she was holier than thou art, well, she was divorced after three years of marriage, has breast implants, and has many flaws as well. But she at least is trying to teach her children right.

For one, it relies upon on what church you pass to. not each church follows the comparable ideals or have the comparable teachings, whether they're Christian church homes. a million Corinthians 11: 3- 10 provides a female permission to communicate in church in the event that they have their head coated. It become a rule given with the aid of Paul because of the fact the church because of the fact they Christians in the church have been new Christians. In a million Corinthians 14:33-35 Paul replaced the regulations because of the fact the church grew to become disorderly. there is not any passage that tells you to miss approximately what's impossible in the society at present. The Christians faith is a cafeteria form of existence, the place you are able to prefer to persist with one rule and overlook approximately the different. As I suggested in the previous, not each church adheres to the regulations. those human beings are called fake brethren (2 Corinthians 11:13)

Paul said that if a man acted unseemly (had sex) with a girl he should marry her, when he does it is not a sin. I loosely paraphrased that one.
Some versions are clearer than this one...1Co 7:36 But if a man thinks that he’s treating his fiancé improperly and will inevitably give in to his passion, let him marry her as he wishes. It is not a sin. 37 But if he has decided firmly not to marry and there is no urgency and he can control his passion, he does well not to marry. 38 So the person who marries his fiancé does well, and the person who doesn’t marry does even better.
jilliebean, my dear friend, King James comissioned the translation of the Bible, not the writing of the Bible. The Bible was centuries old when King James was born. Did you mean he had it translated or had it written. AND if you mean what you said, no wonder you don't allow IM's and e-mails.

God did not say anything. A bunch of PEOPLE said a lot of things about sex, nothing having to do with god. Also, "god" said man could have multiple wives, and they did for 5000 years, until that upstart religion made it punishable by being boiled in oil about 1000 years ago. If you are going to do what "god" said then accept polygamy as a way of life, since that is what "god" said was correct.

I don't think its so much as pre-marital sex as it has to do with being a harlot. The "way" man and women got married in those days is much different than now.
Remember the Good Book was written by the commission of a King to impose proper behavior for his Kingdom(and as to many self-proclaimed themselves as "Pope") and the words/books are a few of many many that wrote of those times. Women didnt have much clout, take notice there are FEW mentioned in the Bible that are not of ill repute.
Pre-marital sex isn't a BAD thing, as long as you love each other.

So they can get what they want when they want it .Many dont think it 's bad or what ever. Maybe they should read about Marriage and why, and divorce and why, and also keeping pure and why, But as the bible has shown man thinks he is smart as he acts foolish and it seems like we are in the times as of Noah

Please send me a direct quote from the Bible where it says no sex before marriage. Organized religion put the taboo on sex in order to control people better. It's all about guilt and fear in the majority of organized religion. If you look in your so called "ancient times" and throughout history some of the biggest figures in Christian history have been fornicators. The Catholic Church is the original Christian organization and there have been multiple documented cases of fornication by Popes! Growing up Catholic, I read up on these things! And please don't give me a quote from an Apostle or a Prophet, I want something straight from God or JC himself.

Its funny you say that because it was originally Christians back in the past who twisted "god's word" to be against premarital sex. The church used to operate brothels all the time.
