The drinking age on all ships that call on or depart from U.S. ports is 21 years.
Most cruiselines have a 21 limit except on some South American and European markets where an 18 year old can consume alchohol with waiver signed by the parents - the parents must be traveling with him.

American cruise ships probably adopt American laws so 21 would be the drinking age if you are on an American ship. So its probably just policy of the ship because they don't want American lawsuits. If you are porting in Mexico or other countries the drinking age is 18 in these countries and you would be allowed to drink at these ports.

Age for drinking is 21, you are still on an American ship. At the ports, that is a different story, that depends on the soil you are on. Gambling is 18, exept Princess ships you have to be 21,the gentlemans cousin that gambled at 17 must have done it without them checking his ID, which happens alot.

you are all idiots. First of all if, you are traveling alone, most lines require you to be 21 (someone in your party must be 21). Depending on the cruise line you can drink beer/ wine at 18 as long as your legal guarding accompanying you on the ship signs some papers allowing it (only in international waters). But hard liquor is still for reserved 21. NCL is one of those lines.

Many years ago, when I was 17, I drank on a cruise ship. I was on my honeymoon, we even got a free bottle of champagne. That was on the Italia line, may make a difference if it's a US ship and you're a US citizen.
Call and ask before you book.
