I posted a question that was supposed to be a response to similar questions I've seen recently posed to atheist. I wanted to show the authors how their questions look to us.

I think I understand the point you were trying to make. I can post until I'm blue in the fingers, but no one is going to read one of my insightful comments and think, as if they have just been smacked in the forehead by a righteous, nail-scarred hand, "I don't know how I didn't see it before! Of COURSE ZenMaster Bob is right! I need to go find a local Christian minister and dedicate my life to Christ RIGHT AWAY!"
Fortunately, it's not my job to make the nail-scarred hand smack you, or anyone else, in the forehead. The forehead-smack will come when the time is right. All I am supposed to do is give you something to remember when it happens, and maybe someone to look for if a question should pop into an open mind.

Hey, I got your point, and thought it was a good question.
Condescension and derision are often expressed in questions aimed at those with different beliefs.
These questions serve no purpose other than to antagonize and alienate others, however well-intentioned they may be.
